HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974.06.17_OPWA MinutesJUNE 17, 1974 The Owasso Public Works Authority met in called session Tuesday evening at 8.29 P.M. with Chairman Ross presiding. PRESENT: Joe Ross Jerry K. Myers Robert K. Ball H. D. Large V. D. Duncan Chairman Vice Chairman Trustee Trustee Trustee Marcia G. Riggs John Edelman L. D. Lang Ralph Schafer Noble C. Campbell Secretary City Engineer Water Superintegnd Owasso Reporter City Manager Chairman Ross reported to the Authority that a final meeting on the Elm Creek Sanitary Sewer Project would be held June 26, 1974 at City Hall at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Campbell reported that all phases of work on the 86th Street North Intercepter Sewer Line have been completed and that he would like to take $1,500.00 of the balance in the account and divide it equally between the six (6) men who worked on the project and are presently employed as a bonus (Men to receive this bonus are Hilburn, Templeton, Pride, Thompson, Day, McGill). The remainder of the balance will be held for any repairs or late billing that might occur. Mr. Ball so moved and Mr. Large seconded the motion. Ayes: Ross, Myers, Ball, Large, Duncan. Mr. Edelman, city engineer, asked that the Authority approve final payment to McGuire Brothers Construction Company on the installation of the Tulsa —Owasso Water Main Extension. Mr. Edelman stated that there is some final work to be done on the Waugh and Blakestad easements but due to so much rain Mr. McGuire has not been able to finish up. He suggested that we withhold an amount sufficient to cover work to be done. Mr. Edelman will require signed statements from property owners stating repairs have been made to their satisfaction before amount withheld is paid to contractor. Mr. Myers moved that final payment be made to McGuire Brothers after Mr. Campbell, Mr. Lang and Mr. Edelman walked line and that they use their judgment in determining the amount to be withheld. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Ayes: Ross, Myers, Ball, Large, Duncan. At 8.45 p.m., Mr. Myers moved and Mr. Duncan seconded the motion to adjourn. Ayes: Ross, Myers, Ball, Large, Duncan.
