HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976.11.09_OPWA MinutesNovember 91 1976 The Owasso Public Works Authority met in regular session Tuesday evening, November 9th at 8:25 p.m. Present: Jerrald Holt Chairman Bill Parese City Mgr. Bill Williams Vice —Chairman C. F. DeLaFleur City Atty. Boyd Spencer Trustee Glenna M. Anderson City Treas. V. D. Duncan Trustee Marcia G. Riggs Secretary On a motion by Mr. Duncan and a second by Mr. Spencer the minutes of the October 5th meeting were approved. Ayes: Holt, Williams, Spencer, Duncan. Mr. Parese stated he had talked with officials from Skiatook and Collinsville on meeting to discuss a treatment plant and the meeting has tenatively been set up for early December. He will contact Sperry and also the Corp of Engineers. Mr. Parese stated he had talked with Mr. Barnes, of Southwestern Bell, concerning the alarm system on the Elm Creek Lift Stations, and Mr. Barnes had sent someone out to repair them. Mr. Williams and Mr. McGill will get together and test them. Mr. Parese stated the application for a water facility and storage feeder main will have to be re —submitted under a regular EDA Grant and not under the Public Works Grant. He will submit this at a later date. Two bids were received for the truck as follows: Kelley Motor, McAlister, Okla.-1977 Dodge pickup $59320.00 Howard Chevrolet, Owasso, Okla. —1977 Chevrolet pickup— $4,409.31 Mr. Spencer moved to accept the bid from Howard Chevrolet and Mr. Williams seconded. Ayes: Holt, Williams, Spencer, Duncan. Discussion was held on an emergency tap at 76th St. North and 129th East Ave. for Rural Water Dist. #3, Rogers County. Mr. Williams stated he had attended the Tulsa Utility Board Meeting and they were in agreement that a tap for this purpose would be wise. This item was tabled until Mr. Ward, Rogers County, can meet with the Authority. On a motion by Mr. Duncan and a second by Mr. Spencer the claims were approved as presented. Ayes: Holt, Williams, Spencer, Duncan. On a motion by Mr. Duncan and a second by Mr. Williams a 3% merit raise was approved for O.P.W.A. employees. Ayes: Holt, Williams, Spencer, Duncan. At 8:42 p.m., Mr. Duncan moved and Mr. Spencer seconded to adjourn. Ayes: Holt, Williams, Spencer, Duncan. Je Marcia G.
