HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981.08.04_OPWA MinutesOn Tuesday, August 4, 1981, the Owasso Public Works Authority met in regular session in the Council Chambers at City Hall, per the notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on City Hall bulletin board at 12:15 PM on July 31, 1981, and by reference made a part hereof. ITEM 1 - CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order at 9:31 PM with Vice Chairman Burke presiding. ITEM 2 - ROLL CALL. Present: Dennis Burke, Vice Chairman Steven Clark, Councilman Phyllis Gross, Councilwoman Harold Charney, City Attorney Kenneth Thompson, City Manager Wauhilleau Webb, City Clerk Absent: Boyd Spencer, Mayor Al Lambert, Councilman ITEM 3 - APPROVE MINUTES OF JULY 21, 1981 REGULAR MEETING. Motion was made by Steven Clark, seconded by Phyllis Gross, to approve minutes of July 21, 1981 regular meeting and by reference are made a part hereof. Ayes - Messrs. Burke and Clark and Mrs. Gross Nays - None Motion carried. ITEM 4 - AUTHORIZE PAYBACK TO ELM CREEK SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT BOND PROCEEDS TO ELM CREEK DEVELOPERS. Mr. Thompson said applicant requested this be tabled to the September 1st meeting. TTEM 5 - REPORT BY CITY ATTORNEY ON NEGOTIATIONS WITH MR. H. D. HALE. Mr. Charney reviewed the negotiations he had discussed with Mr. Hale and said he would have the proposal in writting to the Council at a later date. These nego- tiations are to be placed on the September 1, 1981 agenda. ITEM 6 - APPROVE WARRANTS FOR PAYMENT. Motion was made by Steve Clark, seconded by Phyllis Gross, to approve 1980-81 Warrants 1301 through 1318 for $26,043.75, cancellation of 1980-81 Warrants 1238 and 1257 for $176.00, 1981-82 Warrants 9 through 108 for $39,804.58, authorize Chairman to sign same, and by reference made a part hereof. Ayes - Messrs. Burke and Clark and Mrs. Gross Nays - None Motion carried. Owasso Public Works Authority Page Two August 4, 1981 ITEM 7 - NEW BUSINESS. Item Dr. Clark asked if it would be of benefit to the City to purchase a trailor to haul our tractors and Mr. Williams responded it would although the purchase of same is not in his budget. Item Mr. Thompson commented we had three rider mowers and one push mower stolen and we do not have theft insurance.
