HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982.10.05_OPWA MinutesOn Tuesday, October 5, 1982, the Owasso Public Works Authority met in regular session in the Council Chambers at City Hall per the Notice of Public Hearing and Agenda posted on City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on October 1, 1982, and by reference is made a part hereof. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER © The meeting was called to order at 9:15 p.m. with Chairman Spencer presiding. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT: Boyd Spencer, Chairman Wauhilleau Webb, Vice -Chairman James Smalley, Trustee Phyllis Gross, Trustee Von Stockler, Trustee Dale Block, City Manager Ron Cates, City Attorney Ann Hendrickson, Recording Secretary ABSENT: None ITEM 4: APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 21, 1982. Mrs. Webb stated that on Item 4, the "Ayes" should have been "Abstain" by Mrs. Webb and Mr. Smalley. Motion was made by James Smalley, seconded by Wauhilleau Webb to approve the corrected minutes of September 21, 1982, by reference made a part hereof. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mrs. Webb NAY: None ABSTAIN: Mrs. Gross ITEM 5: BUSINESS © There was no business to be discussed. ITEM 6: REPORT FROM CITY MANAGER A. STEP I ENGINEERING PROPOSALS Mr. Block reported that the engineering request for proposals had been given to six firms. He said it would be in the best interest of the City for the infiltration inflow study to be done by others because of lack of manpower and background information. He mentioned that although the Environmental Assessment Statement would be done by the Authority, it will require some consulting time with an engineer. OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY PAGE TWO OCTOBER 5, 1982 Mr. Block advised that these proposals would be turned in October 15 and will be reviewed and presented to the Council at the October 19 meeting. Mr. Block said that in the proposal the City has requested a time frame of 180 days and that the city will reserve the right to refuse any and all bids.
