RESOLUTION NUMBER 2007 -03
A RESOLUTION OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN SUPPORT OF THE 2007
OWASSO SCHOOL BOND ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a quality public education is fundamental to the success of any community;.
and,
WHEREAS, a dynamic public school system is the basis for any community's sustained
economic growth; and,
WHEREAS, a vital component of sustainable economic development is the long term
need for a skilled workforce and public education is central to the initial development of such
work force; and,
WHEREAS, the quality of life in the City of Owasso has attracted young families
resulting in opportunities for the Owasso Public Schools to provide a quality education to the
growing number of students; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed 2007 Owasso School Bond is diverse, including the
construction of a new elementary school, a broad range of facility improvements and equipment
and transportation needs in an effort to assist both students and teachers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Owasso Economic Development
Authority supports passage of the proposed bond issue and encourages all voters within the
Owasso School District to become informed as to the details and support passage of the proposal
on November 13, 2007.

Development Authority of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma,
