RESOLUTION THAT THE CITY OF OhaSSO, OKLAHOMA
WIN THE OFLAHOMA POLICE PENSION AND RETIREMENT
SYSTEM PURSUANT TO 11 OKL. ST. AUN., SECTION
543f., ET SEQ.
TEEREAS, the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, employees
to (10) Or less Policemen, and
WHEREAS, a recommendation by more than 3/4 majority
vote of all the Policemen of the City of Owasso has been
made that the City of Owasso join and become affiliated
with the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System.
NnW, THEREFORE,
BE !T RESOLVED by the City of Owasso, Oklahoma,
that the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, 'Join and become affiliated
with the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper authority of
the CA Y Of Owasso withhold from the compensation of each
Policeman a sum equal to five per cent (5%) of his compensa-
tion as an employee contribution for payment thereof to the
Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System, said deduction
shall be remitted monthly to the Board of Trustees of the
Cklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System for credit
to the member's individual account.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by authority of 11 O.S.,
Sec. 543j", that the City of Owasso appropriate for the use
and kenefit of the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement
System, a sum of not less than five per cent (5%) of the
monthly compensation of each of its Policemen. Said sum or
sums appropriated shall he paid each month to the Board of
Directors of the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement
System for disposition pursuant to provisions of 11 O. S. 1971
Sec. 54 1, et seq., or as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution he
published one each week for two consecutive weeks in a
newspaper of general circulation in Tulsa County, Oklahoma,
which newspaper is authorized by law to publish legal
notices.
