HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977 61_Creation of Indian Nations Council_1977.01.04RESOLUTION 61 WHEREAS, The City of Owasso, Oklahoma executed an agreement for the creation of the Indian Nations Council of Governments; and WHEREAS, said City of Owasso is entitled under the terms of the bylaws of said Council of Governments to appoint one elected public official to the Board of the said Council of Governments; and WHEREAS, said City of Owasso is entitled under the terms of the bylaws of said Council of Governments to appoint one alternate member of the Board of said Council of Governments; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this City Council that the appointments be made and that it further be entered as a part of the official record® NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, that Jerrald Holt be and is hereby appointed to the position of Board Member of the Indian Nations Council of Governments as the elected public official representing the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Bill Parese is hereby appointed to the position of alternate Board Member. Due to your population size you are entitled to one representative on the Board. The member must be an elected official. An alternate may also be selected if you so choose. The alternate will have all the rights and privileges enjoyed by the member. Your Council will need to pass a resolution regarding the appointment of Board Members.
