On Tuesday, July 19, 1983, the Owasso Public Works Authority met in regular session in the Council Chambers at City Hall per the Notice of Public Hearing and Agenda posted on City Hall Bulletin Board at 4:00 p.m. on July 15, 1983. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 9:50 p.m, with Chairman Spencer presiding. © ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT: Boyd Spencer, Chairman Wauhilleau Webb, Vice -Chairman James Smalley, Trustee Phyllis Gross, Trustee Von Stockler, Trustee Dale Block, City Manager Ann Hendrickson, City Clerk ABSENT: Ron Cates, City Attorney ITEM 4: APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY, JULY 19, 1983. Motion was made by Wauhilleau Webb, seconded by Von Stockler, to approve the minutes of July 19, 1983, by reference made a part hereof. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mrs. Webb NAY: None ABSTAIN: Mrs. Gross Motion carried. ITEM 5: BUSINESS A. CONSIDERATION OF RECOMMENDATION ON SEWER CLEANING MACHINE. Mr. Block stated that Baker Equipment Company is the low bidder and thev meet or exceed specifications in all areas. He recom- mended the low bid. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mesdames Webb, Gross NAY: NONE W Motion carried. r OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY PAGE TWO JULY 19, 1983 B. CONSIDERATION OF REQUEST TO CONNECT TO THE OWASSO SEWER SYSTEM BY THE PINE TREE MOBILE HOME PARK. Mayor Spencer asked representatives of Pine Tree Mobile Home Park if there would be any lift stations used. Thev said there would be no lift stations. He asked if the Rural Water District had agreed to bring down the water line and they said they had. He asked if the trailers would be on concrete slabs and they said that was correct. He asked if they would be willing to work with the City Attorney in preparing a contract that would be agreeable to all parties concerned. They agreed to do this. Mr. Smalley asked if a way to monitor the system had been worked out. Mr-. Block said a water meter could be installed and Der- haps an agreement could be worked out with the Rural Water District to have it read. Mayor Spencer said that should be worked out in the contract. Motion was made by Von Stockler, seconded by James Smalley, to direct the City Attorney to work with the owners of Pine Tree Mobile Home Park and the City Manager in drawing up a contract to allow them to connect to the Owasso sewer system. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mesdames Gross, Webb NAY: None Motion carried. 6. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY City Attorney not present. 7. REPORT FROM CITY MANAGER None at this time. 8. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Motion was made to approve the June claims in the amounts of $23,724.79 and $63,446.32, by Von Stockler, seconded by Wauhilleau Webb. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mrs. Webb NAY: None ABSTAIN: Mrs. Gross OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY PAGE THREE JULY 19, 1983 9. NEW BUSINESS Mayor Spencer asked the City Manager to check on the water leak at the swimming pool; replacement of the fire hydrant at the corner. of Elm and Forest Drive, and a leaking fire hydrant at 10th and Elm, There being no further business before the Owasso Public Works Authority, chair adjourned at 10:03 p.m. ANN HENDRICKSON, CITY CLERK 0 A BOYD M.
