3, 1983.
10. REPORT FROM CITY MANAGER
A. REPORT ON TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT
Mr. Block reported that the 86th St. signals seem to be working
well, after some initial problems. He asked Peggy Robinson to
put another article in the paper so that people will understand
the change at that intersection. Mrs. Webb asked if a sign could
be installed for clarification. Mr. Block said he was looking
for an appropriate sign.
Mr. Block asked for approval fromthe-Council to make payment for
concrete repair work as the work is done. He is hopeful that
this repair work will now be accomplished after delay caused by
weather and other problems. Council approved.
B. REPORT ON ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH AL C. YOUNG &
ASSOCIATES. INC.
Mr. Block reported on his meeting with representatives from Al
C. Young and Associates concerning the cost of engineering work
on the upcoming bond issue. The original figure of $188,000
has been reduced to $139,500. If this is satisfactory to the
Council, a contract could be presented at the next Council meet-
ing.
Bob Pruitt of Al C. Young & Associates reported to the Council
that one of their clients has offered to donate two acres of
land for the new water tower site if the bond issue passes. Mrs.
Gross asked the name of the client and Mr. Pruit said it was
Lakeridge Terrace of Owasso.
