HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983.02.01_OPWA MinutesOn Tuesday, February 1, 1983, the Owasso Public Works Authority met in regular session in the Council Chambers at City Hall per the Notice of Public Hearing and Agenda posted on City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on January 29, 1983, and by reference is made a part hereof. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8:47 p.m, with Chairman Spencer presiding. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT: Boyd Spencer, Chairman Wauhilleau Webb, Vice -Chairman James Smalley, Trustee Phyllis Gross, Trustee Von Stockler, Trustee Dale Block, City Manager Ron Cates, City Attorney Ann Hendrickson, Recording -Secretary ITEM 4: APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF OWASSO CITY COUNCIL, JANUARY 83. Motion was made by Wauhilleau Webb, seconded VoStockler, part approve the minutes of January18, 1983, by reference hereof. AYE: Messrs Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mrs. Webb NAY: None ABSTAIN: Mrs. Gross Motion carried. ITEM 5: BUSINESS A. CONSIDERATION OF AGREL1ENT WITH LOWRANCE RIVERDOGS INC. TTCT' nF MTTrTTr..TPAT. T.AGOON. Motion was made by Von Stockler, seconded by Phyllis Gross, to accept the lease agreement with Carl Lowrence Waterdog Farms, Inc. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley; Mrs. Gross, Mrs. Webb NAY: None Motion carried. OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY PAGE TWO FEB. 1, 1983 6. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY No report at this time. 7. REPORT FROM CITY MANAGER Mr. Block reported on the special meeting held January 31, 1983. Although the weather was bad, fifteen citizens attended and there seemed to be a positive attitude about doing something to solve - the City's water and sewer problems. Mr. Block said he was in the process of computing the cost of the projects. The Mayor thanked the Council for their effort in attending the special meeting and doing their best to work on solving the problems of the City. 8. NEW BUSINESS Mayor Spencer said that by May the Council needs to consider the need to overhaul the refuse trucks. Mr. Block said there were a number of problems, but the City Mechanic was doing a very good job in keeping the equipment running.
