HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984.06.05_OPWA MinutesOn Tuesday, June 5, 1984, the Owasso Public Works Authority met in a regular session in the Council Chambers at City Hall per the Notice of Public Hearing and Agenda posted on City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on June 1, 1984. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 10:08 p.m, with Chairman Spencer presiding. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT: Boyd M. Spencer, Chairman Wauhilleau Webb, Vice -Chairman James Smalley, Trustee Von Stockler, Trustee Robert Peel, Trustee Ron Cates, City Attorney Lee Dawson, Acting City Manager Ann Hendrickson, Secretary ITEM 4: CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 15, 1984. Motion was made by Robert Peel, seconded by Von Stockler, to approve the minutes of May 15, 1984, by reference made a part hereof. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley, Peel NAY: None Motion carried. ITEM 5: BUSINESS A. DISCUSSION AND COMPLETION OF DOGWOOD PROJECT. Motion was made by James Smalley, seconded by Von Stockler, to complete the project on Dogwood Street and authorize all work necessary to lay new water line from 8th to 12th on Dogwood. AYE: C NAY: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley, Peel None Motion carried. B. CONSIDERATIONS OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF STATE DEPT. OF HEALTH PERMIT N0. SL-84-268 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER, i LIFT STATION AND FORCE MAIN IN EL RIO VISTA IV. Motion was made by James Smalley, seconded by Von Stockler, to acknowledge receipt of State Dept. of Health Permit No. SL-84-268, for construction of sanitary sewer, lift station, and force main in E1 Rio Vista IV. CONSIDERATION OF AUTHORIZATION TO TRANSFER LINE ITEM APPRO- PRIATIONS FOR DEPARTMENTAL BUDGETS LEE DAWSON Motion was made by Von Stockler, seconded by Robert Peel, to authorize the City Treasurer to transfer line item appropriations for departmental budgets. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley, Peel NAY: None Motion carried. D. CONSIDERATION OF AUTHORIZATION FOR CITY TREASURER TO TRANS- FER FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY FUND FOR PURCHASE OF REFUSE TRUCKS Motion was made by James Smalley, seconded by Von Stockler, to authorize the City Treasurer to transfer funds from contingency fund for purchase of two refuse trucks. AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley, Peel NAY: None Motion carried. 6. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY No report at this time. . REPORT FROM ACTING CITY MANAGER Mr. Dawson reported that Roger Carmack has been appointed acting water and sewer superintendant and is doing a tremendous job. 8.
