ENTER CONTRACTURAL AGREEMENT WITH MAX HOLLOWAY, INC.
FOR SMOKE TESTING SEWER SYSTEM IN NORTHERN PORTION
OF THE CITY. DAN GALLOWAY/FRED KEAS
Mr. Dan Galloway stated that the city has had some sewage
seepage in the past from the 106th Street lift station.
The pump station has been completely updated. During rain
storms there still is a problem due to cracks and broken
places in the storm sewer lines. Most effective way to
locate storm flow entrances is thru the smoke testing
system. Mr. Galloway recommended to the council the firm
of Max Holloway, Inc. Three firms submitted proposals
with Max Holloway, Inc.proposal being most cost effective
since they will assume total liability, furnish all man-
power and work directly with the residents to answer any
questions they may have during the testing period.
After questions from council were answered by Mr. Keas
as to time frame of testing and process taken during
testing to insure the welfare of the residents, motion was
made by Mr. Kenneth Wood, seconded by Mr. James Smalley,
to accept the recommendation from Mr. Galloway, and to
direct him to enter into above mentioned contract.
