HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990.03.13_Joint Meeting Minutes_CC_OPWA_SpecialC L OWASSO CITY COUNCIL OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY MARCH 13, 1990 On Tuesday, March 13, 1990 the Owasso City Council and the Owasso Public Works Authority met in a joint special session in the Council Chambers at the Community Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 1990. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor/Chairman Marlar presiding. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE. The flag salute was led by Mayor/Chairman Marlar. ITEM 3: ROLL CALL. PRESENT: Patricia K. Marlar, Mayor/Chairman Mark Thompson, Vice Mayor/Vice Chairman Von E. Stockier, Councilman/Trustee Stacy P. Lamb, Councilman/Trustee John P. Phillips, Councilman/Trustee Rodney J. Ray, City Manager Ronald D. Cates, City Attorney/O.P.W.A. Attorney Jane Buchanan, City Clerk/Secretary ABSENT: None A quorum was declared present. ITEM 4: PRESENTATION BY STAFF OF THE PROPOSAL TO PROMULGATE RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO MANAGEMENT OF THE CITY'S SOLID WASTE SYSTEM AND REQUEST COUNCIL ACTION ON THE PROPOSAL. Mr. Ray gave the presentation to the Council/Trustees using graphic displays to outline the program and the data used by staff in making the recommendation. After the presentation, Council discussed the proposal and then Mayor/Chairman Marlar asked for comments from the citizens ~~ present. Discussion then followed. OWASSO CITY COUNCIL MARCH 13, 1990 OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY Mayor Marlar stated action will be taken on this item at the regular meeting on March 20, 1990. ITEM 5: ADJOURN. With there being no further business to be brought before the Council/Authority, Mayor/Chairman Marlar asked for a motion to adjourn. A motion was made by V. Stockler, seconded by J. Phillips, to adjourn.
