Mr. Ray presented this item to the Trustees reviewing the

fees go into effect July 1, 1990. (See attached Exhibit A for a
schedule of rates. jb)

ITEM 7: REQUEST FOR TRUSTEE APPROVAL OF A STAFF RECOMMENDED
INCREASE IN UTILITY RATES FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE.
Mr. Ray presented this item to the Trustees stating this proposed
increase is not providing any form of surplus revenue. It is
only maintaining the current level of revenue. This request will
allow the City of avoid large increases in the future that may be
difficult for our citizens to absorb. The City of Tulsa has
raised the purchase price we pay for water by one cent per one -
thousand gallons effective January 1, 1990. In August of 1988
the City initiated operation of a newly constructed wastewater
treatment plant. Rates were established based on anticipated
operational cost and it is now apparent the cost of operations
will exceed those projections. Mr. Ray recommended approval of
both increases based on the above information. (See attached
Exhibit B for a schedule of rates. jb)
A motion was made by P. Marlar, seconded by V. Stockler, to
approve the increase in utility rates as presented.
