SEPTEMBER 18, 1990
On Tuesday, September 18, 1990 the Owasso Public Works Authority
met in a regular session in the Council Chambers at the Community
Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the
City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14,
1990.
ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER.
The meeting was called to order at 7:47 p.m. with Chairman
Thompson presiding.
ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE.
The flag salute was led by Chairman Thompson.
ITEM 3: ROLL CALL.
PRESENT: Mark Thompson, Chairman
John P. Phillips, Vice Chairman
Von E. Stockler, Trustee
Jason Gittelman, Trustee
Patricia K. Marlar, Trustee
Rodney J. Ray, City Manager
Ronald D. Cates, O.P.W.A. Attorney
Jane Buchanan, Secretary
ABSENT: None
A quorum was declared present.
ITEM 4: REQUEST APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FOR THE SEPTEMBER 4,
1990 MEETING.
A motion was made by P. Marlar, seconded by J. Gittelman, to
approve the minutes, as written, by reference hereto.

ITEM 5: REQUEST APPROVAL OF THE WARRANTS.
A motion was made by J. Phillips, seconded by P. Marlar, to
approve the warrants as follows: (1) $11,659.74 and (2) Payroll
$18,622.56.
AYE: Phillips, Marlar, Stockler, Gittelman, Thompson
NAY: None
MOTION: Carried 5-0
ITEM 6: REQUEST TO AWARD A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,771.15
TO D. C. & B. SUPPLY FOR THE BULK PURCHASE OF WATER
METERS (WITH REMOTE CAPABILITIES) AND OTHER SUPPLIES
AND MATERIALS.
Mr. Ray and Mr. Charles Nicholson presented this item to the
Trustees stating bids were opened with only one bid being
received. They recommended awarding the contract.
A motion was made by P. Marlar, seconded by J. Phillips, to award
a contract to D. C. & B. Supply in the amount of $15,771.15 for
the bulk purchase of meters and materials.

MOTION: Carried 5-0
ITEM 7: REQUEST TO AWARD A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,817.00
TO WARMINISTER FIBERGLASS COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF
ONE FIBERGLASS CHLORINATOR SHELTER (BUILDING).
This item was presented to the Trustees. Two bids were received
as follows: Plasti-Fab, Inc. $7,620.00 and Warminister Fiberglass
Company $4,817.00. Mr. Nicholson has reviewed the bids and
recommended awarding the contract to Warminister Fiberglass
Company.
A motion was made by P. Marlar, seconded by V. Stockler, to award
the contract to Warminister Fiberglass Company in the amount of
$4,817.00 for the purchase of a fiberglass chlorinator shelter to
be used at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

ITEM 8: REQUEST TO AWARD CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,489.12 TO
TROJAN TECHNOLOGIES, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF
ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION REPLACEMENT LAMPS.
Three bids were received. They are as follows: Traffic Parts,
Inc. $10,584.00; Katadyn Systems, Inc. $6,033.21; and Trojan
Technologies, Inc. $5,489.12. Mr. Nicholson reviewed all bids
and recommends awarding the contract to Trojan Technologies, Inc.
A motion was made by P. Marlar, seconded by J. Gittelman, to
award a contract to Trojan Technologies, Inc. in the amount of
$5,489.12 to the purchase of ultraviolet disinfection replacement
lamps.

MOTION: Carried 5-0
ITEM 9: REQUEST TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PURCHASING ONE HUNDRED (100) 90-GALLON POLYCARTS FOR
USE IN THE CITY REFUSE SYSTEM.
Mr. Ray stated one bid was received on the re -bid of this item
and he recommended awarding the bid to Williams Refuse Company in
the amount of $58.00 each with a minimum order of 100.
A motion was made by V. Stockler, seconded by J. Phillips, to
award a contract to Williams Refuse Company in the amount of
$58.00 each for polycarts with a minimum order of 100.

MOTION: Carried 5-0

With there being no further business to be brought before the
Trustees, a motion was made by J. Phillips, seconded by V.
Stockler, to adjourn.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
