REQUEST FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ONE -TON UTILITY TRUCK
TO BE USED IN THE WATER DEPARTMENT.
Mr. Ray presented this item stating the 1985 3/4 ton Ford truck
used by the Water Department was taken out of service due to
transmission failure. The truck has 165,700 miles and has been
experiencing other major problems. The city mechanic recommends
this truck be needs to be taken out of service rather than
investing additional money in it. He stated this truck will be
purchased from Classic Chevrolet for $10.00 less than the state bid
price. It will be for a cab and chassis. This is not a budgeted
item and money will come from the water department in the amount of
$10,010.00 and the refuse department for $1,761.00. With this
recommendation, Mr. Ray requested approval of this purchase.
After discussion, a motion was made by M. Thompson, seconded by P.
Marlar, to approve the purchase.
