OW ASSO CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
Tuesday, May 30, 2000
The Owasso City Council met in special session on Tuesday, May 30, 2000 in the Lower Level
Conference Room at Owasso City Hall per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on
the City Hall bulletin board at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2000.
ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Williams called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.

Will Williams, Mayor
Mark Lou Barnhouse, Vice Mayor
Denise Bode, Councilor
Melinda Voss, Councilor
Randy Brogdon, Councilor
ABSENT
STAFF
Larry Mitchell, City Manager
Marcia Boutwell, City Clerk
A quorum was declared present.
ITEM 2: UPDATE AND DISCUSSION RELATING TO CITY HALL/POLICE STATION
FACILITY.
Mr Mitchell said that bids have been opened and reviewed for the City Ha11lPolice Station
Facility. LaITY Creekmore and Doug Peterson from Cowen Construction were also present and
informed the Council that four items are being re-bid, with bids being opened on June 13th. All
of the bids, with the exception of those four, will be awarded at the June 6th Council meeting. It
is anticipated that work will begin in late July, with a one-year completion date. Mr Mitchell and
Ms Bishop briefly discussed the financing.
ITEM 3: REPORT FROM CITY MANAGER
Mr Mitchell reported that staff has received a letter from Neil McCaleb of the Oklahoma
Department of Transportation stating that the west entrance to U.S. Highway 169 from 66th St N
will be closed on June 19th. He advised the Council that bids have been opened for
improvements on 96th St N at Owasso Market and are being evaluated.

Ms Barnhouse moved, seconded by Ms Voss, to adjourn.
AYE: Barnhouse, Voss, Brogdon, Bode, Williams
NAY: None
Motion carried 5-0, and the meeting was adjoumed at 6:20 p.m.
