STAFF COMMENTS:
Included in FY 2017 -2018 Budget, the Capital Improvements Fund allowed for the
expenditure of $105,000.00 for the new wildland vehicle purchase.
This vehicle, housed at Fire Station No. 4, is the primary wildland response apparatus for
Fire Station No. 4. On October 6, 2017, the purchase of this new wildland vehicle was
authorized by City Council. The chassis was ordered from a state vendor utilizing State of
Oklahoma contract pricing. In 2018, staff took delivery of the vehicle chassis and began
upfitting to a wildland vehicle utilizing fire department staff and area vendors. In February
of 2019, the upfitting was complete.
Final construction cost for this project was $100,745.08
