HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997.09.02_OPWA MinutesOWASSO PUBLIC WORDS AUTHORITY MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, September 2, 1997 The Owasso Public Works Authority met in regular session on Tuesday, September 2, 1997 in the Council Chambers at the Owasso Community Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 1997. Chairman Barnhouse called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE The flag salute was given during the City Council meeting preceding this meeting. ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT Mary Lou Barnhouse, Chair Tracy Standridge, Vice Chair Michael Helm, Trustee Denise Bode, Trustee Mark Wilken, Trustee STAFF Rodney Manager Marcia Boutwell, Authority Secretary Ronald D Cates, Authority Attorney REQUESTITEM 4: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO A FOR APPROVAL A. Owasso Public Works Authority ITEM 5: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO A REQUEST FOR TRUSTEE APPROVAL OF A BUDGET AMENDMENT DECREASING THE EXPENSES IN THE OPWA ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT AND INCREASING THE TRANSFER TO THE GENERAL FUND FROM THE OPWA FUND. Ms Bishop presented the item, stating that at the time of his resignation Mike Knebel's salary and benefits were a part of the OPWA Administration budget. The funds that remain in that budget need to be reassigned to cover the functions of his job now being handled by other departments. It is proposed that the budget be amended to assign $12,000 to the Community Development Department to cover the cost of electrical inspections, and $25,000 to the Support Services Department for computer and phone operations costs. Mr Wilken moved, seconded by Dr Standridge, to approve an amendment to the FY 1997-95 OPWA Fund budget, increasing the transfer of funds to the General Fund by $37,000 and reducing appropriations to the OPWA Fund's Administration Department by the same amount. NAY: None i Mr Carr reminded those present about the Household Pollutants Disposal which will be held on Saturday, September 6, at the swimming pool parking lot. All household pollutants may be taken there for disposal at no charge. None. N Owasso Public Works Authority Dr Bode moved, seconded by Dr Standridge to adjourn.
