That there shall be eleeted on the first manday of Ey' in each year, a Town Earshal, who shall hold his office for one (1,; year or until his successor shall have been elected and qualified. In the event of a vacancy in the office of Town Earshal, the Board of Trustees shall fill said vacancy by appointment. SECTION 2. The hat shal shall be a peace officer and shall have all the authority and liabilities conferred by !an upon peace officers, He shall execute all orders of the Board of Trsutees and shall enforce the by-laws and ordinances of said Town. SECTION 3. The Marshal shall inform himself upon all the ordinances of the Town, report all violations thereof and arrest all offenders. He shall have pauer to appoint one of more deputies, with the approval, of the Board of Trustees, and the said Board shall fix their compesation. SECTION 4. The marshal shall give bond with freehold sureties in such amount as shall be fixed by the Board of Trustees. SECTION 5. He shall render to the Board of Trustees on the first meeting night of each month, a report containing a full itemized statement of all transactions, which should be brought to the attention of the Board. SECTION 6. The salary of the Earshall shall be fixed each year by the Board of Trustees by proper resolution, or ordinance. in addition to the salary fixed by the Board of Trustees, he shall receive the same Eves as are allowed peace officers by the Laws of the State of Oklahoma, in like services. He shall be allowed the following special fees: For removing dead animals from the streets, alleys and other public places, to be paid by the owner of said animals, if he can be found: For a horse, mule, jack or cow, $1100; for .a hog, ,dyg 61aalr1150 'ents. Provided that in charges as against the Town for such services the Marshall shall itemize the account therefor, verifying by his oath the fact that the animals mentioned therein were removed or caused to be removed by him.
