HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 21 & 22 & 23ORDINANCE #21 AN ORDINANCE AGAINST DISORDERLY HOUSES OR RESORTS OF ILL FAME, DEFINING THE OFFENSE AND PRIVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. SECTION 1. That it shall be a misdemeanor to do or cause to be done any of the following acts, and upon conviction thereof of any person or persons, shall be fined not less than One Dollar and not more than Twenty-five Dollars. SECTION 2. To keep a disorderly house or to use any public resort in the open air as a place of disorder, or making or cuasing to be made therein, any loud or improper noises, improper language or collecting therein for any one to remain drunken therein, or any disorderly person or persons of any character, to the annoyance and disturbance of any person or persons, within the town limits; or give or cuase to be given admission therein to any woman of ill repute or prostitutes, or fail to remove or expel such persons after being notified by the proper authority, of such character. ORDINANCE # 22 AN ORDINANCE AGAINS THE RESISTANCE OF AN OFFICER,DEFINING THE OFFENSE AD PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VILATION THEREOF. SECTION 1. That it shall be a misdeemanor for any person or persons to do or cause to be done any of the following acts and any person or person convicted thereof shall be fined not less than One dollar and not over Twenty-five Dollars. SECTION 2. It is unlawful for any person or persons to resist the Marshal or members of the Marshal's force, or in any way interfere with them in the discharge of their dutires, or endeavor to assist, any person who is in custody of the Marshal or members of the Marshal's force to escape or to rescue any person who is in custody of any of the said officers. ORDINANCE # 23 AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE IN DISTRICTS TWO AND THREE, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. SECTION 1. That it shall be a misdemeanor for any person to allow any hay, straw, paper or any other matter that is easily set on fire to remain on his or her premises and any person or person who are found guilty of so allowing such matter to remain on their premises, shall be fined not less than one dollar and not more than twenty-five dollars for each offense thereof and each day such matter is allowed to remain on premises, shall constitute a seperate offense. SECTION 2. That if any other person or persons who are occupants and not owners of property, then the occupants shall be held responsible for any vilation of this ordinance that shall occur on the premises which they occupy. SECTION 3. That no hay shall be stored in any building in districts Two (2) and Three (3) unless the buildings are thoroughly butted up and where hay is stored away in consideratble quanitites, such buildings shall be kept locke dup when the person or person in charge are absent. SECTION 4. That it shall be the duty of the Marshal to see that this ordinance is rigidly observed by all parties in said Districts.
