ORDINANCE NO. 48
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2
OF THE INCORPORATED TOWN OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA; DIVIDING SAID TOWN INTO FOUR
WARDS AND VOTING DISTRICTS; DESIGNATING
THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Incorporated Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2 of the Incorporated
Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follows:
Section 1. That the Incorporated Town of Owasso, Oklahoma,
is hereby divided into four wards and voting districts
as follows:
Ward No. 1: All that portion of the Incorporated Town
of Owasso, Oklahoma, lying within the corporation
limits and north of the center line of May Avenue;
Ward No. 2: All that portion of the Incorporated Town
of Owasso, Oklahoma, lying within the corporation
limits and south of the center line of May Avenue and
north of the center line of Thomas Avenue;
Ward No. 3: All that portion of the Incorporated Town
of Owasso, Oklahoma, lying within the corporation
limits and south of the center line of Thomas Avenue
and north of the center line of Lee Avenue;
Ward No. 4: All that portion of the Incorporated Town
of Owasso, Oklahoma, lying within the corporation
limits and south of the center line of Lee Avenue.
Section 2. That the said wards above described shall be and
constitute the voting districts for all purposes of municipal government
as provided by the ordinances of the Incorporated Town of Owasso,
Oklahoma.
Section 3. That an emergency is hereby declared to exit for
the preservation fo public peace, health and safety, and by reason
thereof this ordinance shall become effective and in full force and
effect immediately from and after its passage, approval and publication.
Passed and approved this 2nd day of March, 1955.
The emergency clause ruled upon separately and passed this 2nd
day of March, 1955.
