NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF A HEARING ON A PROPOSED SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA
APPLICATION: #SUP 14 -01
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Owasso Planning
Commission, at Old Central, 109 N. Birch, at 6:00 P.M. March 10, 2014. The Owasso
Planning Commission will consider a request for a Specific Use Permit to ALLOW FOR A
TELECOMMUNICATION TOWER in a COMMERCIAL SHOPPING CENTER on
property zoned CS (Commercial Shopping District). The property is described as a tract of
land (3 Acres) located at 13720 East 860' Street North.
A tract of land that is part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
(NE /4 NW /4) of Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Twenty-one (21) North,
Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County,
State of Oklahoma, according to the United States Government survey thereof,
said tract of land being described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said NEA NW /4; thence South
0 °07'18" West along the easterly line of the NEA NW /4 for 60.00 feet to the
point of beginning of said tract of land; thence continuing South 0°07'08" West
along said easterly line for 490.00 feet to a point, said point being a Northeast
Corner of Lot 1, Block 1, "Amended the Greens at Owasso and the Owasso
Golf and Athletic Club ", an addition to the city of Owasso, state of Oklahoma,
according to the recorded plat thereof (plat no. 5657); thence following the lot
line of said lot 1 for the following three (3) courses; North 89°44'53" West for
a distance of 448.79 feet to a point; thence north 0°07'26" East for a distance
of 465.21 feet to a point of curvature; thence along a 25.00 foot radius curve to
the right, having a central angle of 90°09'50" for an arc length of 39.34 feet to
a point of tangency; thence South 89°42'44" East along the northerly line of
said lot 1 and an easterly extension of said line and parallel with the north line
of the NE /4 NW /4, for 423.70 feet to the point of beginning of said tract of
land.
All persons interested in this matter may be present at the hearing and present their
objections to or arguments for any or all of the above matters.
In the event that such proposed specific use permit is approved, in whole or in part, by
the Owasso Planning Commission, said Planning Commission shall submit its
recommendation to the City Council of the City of Owasso for its consideration and
action, as provided by law.

• Per code, maximum height for a cell tower is 120', plus 10' for placement
of an antenna.
