November 7, 1968
The Owasso Planning Commission met in a regular meeting on Thursday,
November 7, 1968 at 7:30 P. M. at the Town Hall.
Present:
Vernon Lewis, Chairman
Bernice Dunaway, Sec.= Treas.
Bill Whittaker, Member
John Groth, Member
Tom Rikkola, Member
Abeent: Bill Boyd
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved
as read.
Old Business: The request for zoning by Mr. Joe Steed, Mr. Heidler, and
Mr. Hartman, which was taken under advisment at the previous meeting
was discussed, and the following motion was made by Tom Rikkola;
That the tract of land consisting of 215 acres of land be approved
for zoning as per plat with the inclusion of 5 acres of land for a school site.
Seconded by Bernice Dunaway. The voting as follows;
Ayes: Bernice Dunaway
John Groth
Tom Rikkola
Nays: Bill Whittaker Motion Carried.
A letter of request for zoning the following land was presented to the
Planning Commission by Larkin Bailey:
The East Half of the Southeast Quarter, section 25, Township 21, North Range
13 East, and that part of lots 2, 3, 4, of Section 30, Township
21 North Range 14 East lying west of the A. T. & S. F. Railroad right of
way, all in the County of Tulsa, be zoned for industry.
The motion was made by Bernice Dunaway to grant the zoning of this area for
industry with each phase or industry wishing to build there, be approved
asthby enter.

Motion Carried.
Mr. Ted Lewis, and Mr. John Duff, with the Breisch Engineering Co. were
introduced. Mr. Lewis stated that they would work with the City Planning
Commission in planing all different faccetts of future developements and growth,
of the city of Owasso.
A Time schedule for the various phases of study for planning mme was

The motion was made by Bernice Dunaway to adjourn: seconded by
Tome Rikkola. Notion carried.
