The Owasso Planning Commission met in City Hall October 1$, 1973
at 7:30 P.M.
PRESENT: Alan Anderson, Chairman
John Groth
Sharonell Stevens
Mike Elms, TMAPC Rep.
ABSENT: Warren Burdine
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Alan Anderson.
Minutes of the two previous meetings were read and approved.
Clarence Brooks requested reconsideration of the TMAPC Zoning
Referral, Z -4518 denied by the Owasso Planning Commission Sept-
ember 6, 1973. John Groth stated he felt the ruling should stand.
Although illegal businesses are operating in the area, that is
a matter for the proper control authorities to handle.
Mike Elms suggested it might be zoned a commercial classification
with Board of Adjustment approval. The Commission agreed to re-
consider if property owners in the immediate area had no objections.
It was agreed that there is no need at this time for industrial or
commercial zoning in that area. At present, Owasso has an over-
abundance of commercial zoning.
Alan felt the proposal would "reasonably" fit into future "strip
zoning" on the service road. John reiterated his feeling that
a majority of the residents of Jonesville should be represented
with letters or a petition.

will be conducted November 15, 1973 due to certain legalities

ments were discussed. Alan declared the Public Hearing open.
There were no protestants. John moved the amendments as presented
be recommended to the City Council for approval. Sharonell seconded.

ments and the Citizen Goal Committees were discussed.
There being no further business or items for study to come before
