COUNTY, OKLAHOMA
Whereas, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation has expressed its intent to close access to
and from U.S. Highway 169 at the intersection with 66"' Street North in Tulsa County because of

Whereas, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is prepared to commence the construction
of major improvements one mile North at the interchange of U.S. Highway 169 and 76"'Street
North; and,

potential flooding if the east side service road is not elevated out of the floodplain; and,
Whereas, the Owasso Economic Development Authority is concerned that the closure of the
access to U.S. Highway 169 at 66"' Street North will cause access problems and delays if closed
prior to the completion of the improvements to the U.S. Highway 169 and 76"' Street North
`, interchange; and,
Whereas, the Owasso Economic Development Authority encourages the Oklahoma Department
of Transportation to evaluate all cost effective means of providing safe, permanent access at the
intersection of U.S. 169 and 66"' Street North prior to final intersection closure; and,
Whereas, the Owasso Economic Development Authority is interested in working with the

until such time that the access road on the east side of U.S. 169 be elevated out of the 100 year
flood plain and that the intersection should not be closed until such time as the improvements at
the U.S. Highway 169 and 76"' Street North interchange are completed.
Be It Further Resolved that, the Owasso Economic Development Authority of the City of
Owasso, Oklahoma, pledges to work with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to address
