MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING

The Owasso Public Golf Authority met in a regular session on Tuesday, May 23, 1995 at
5:30 p.m. at the Bailey Golf Ranch Maintenance Facility per the Notice of Public Meeting
posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 1995.
Chairperson Brian Skelton called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m., and declared a quorum
present.
ITEM 2: REQUEST APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF APRIL 25,1995 REGULAR
MEETING AND MAY 4 -, 1995 SPECIAL MEETING.
Glenna Anderson moved to approve the minutes as written. Motion seconded by Ed Sokolosky
and carried 5-0.
Mr Fitzsimmons reviewed and discussed the financial reports for the month of April. Brian
Skelton moved, seconded by Bob Oldefest, to approve the financial reports as presented. Motion
carried 5-0.
LT-EM4' CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELA j:ING TQ
REFINANCING CERTAIN PAYMENT SCHEDULES.
Mr Fitzsimmons reported that a $66,000 lease purchase payment was due to be made to
Jacobson for golf course equipment. The company has agreed to stretch the payment out over
a nine -month period, thus providing a better cash flow position for the golf course. Ed
Sokolosky moved, seconded by Tom Rikkola, to approve the refinancing of this equipment.

ITEM 5: DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO AUDIT

-o Glenna Anderson reported that she had checked audit firms and she recommended that the firm
6 of Stanfield & O'Dell be employed to provide auditing services for the golf authority. Their fee

5�'k is $3000 per year for a three-year period. Brian Skelton moved to employ Stanfield & O'Dell
as the Authority auditors as recommended. Motion was seconded by Glenna Anderson and
carried 5-0.
ITEM 6: GENERAL DISCUSSION AND UPDATE ON GOLF COURSE RELATED
MEETINGS.
Golf course highway signs were discussed at a previous meeting. Glenna Anderson obtained
information about getting the signs, but felt that City Manager Rodney Ray should be the person
to request that the signs be erected. Glenna will talk to Mr Ray about the item.
ITEM 7: GENERAL DISCUSSION AND UPDATE ON GOLF COURSE

"eAdvertising was discussed and it was reported that a local radio station will feature 35 spots for
w k during the period June 2-16. Patron Cards will be given away during that time, as well
as an autographed copy of Brian Nelson's book. "Home Town Tuesday" was discussed, in
which Owasso residents would receive a special rate on Tuesdays. Other merchandising items
were also discussed. Alan Anderson requested that he be supplied with 7000 flyers to put in the
monthly statements from First Bank. It was determined that the cost of a billboard is too high
for that medium to be utilized.
ITEM 8: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING T*
APPROVAL OF THE 1995-96 BUDGET.
The budget will be approved at the regular June meeting. One or two special meetings will be
held to discuss and finalize the budget prior to approval.

ITEM 11: ADJOURNMENT
Ed Sokolosky moved, seconded by Bob Oldefest, to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0 and the
meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m. I
