HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998.10.06_OPGA MinutesOWASSO PUBLIC GOLF AUTHORITY MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, October 6, 1998 The Owasso Public Golf Authority met in regular session on Tuesday, October 6, 1998 in the Council Chambers at the Owasso Community Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 1998. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER Chairman Bode called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE The flag salute was given during the City Council meeting preceding this meeting. ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT ABSENT Denise Bode, Chair Mark Wilken, Mice Chair Mary Lou Barnhouse, Trustee Melinda Voss, Trustee Duston Smith, Trustee STAFF Jeff Hancock, City Manager Ronald D Cates, Authority Attorney Marcia Boutwell, Authority Secretary A quorum was declared present. ITEM 4: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO A REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA. A. Approval of the Minutes of September 15, 1998 Regular Meeting. B. Approval of Claims Ms Barnhouse moved, seconded by Ms Voss, to approve the consent agenda. The consent agenda included minutes of the September 15, 1998 regular meeting, by reference made a part hereto. Item B on the consent agenda included the following claims: (1) Bailey Ranch Golf Club $64,925.43; (2) Payroll #1 $23,001.77; (3) Payroll #2 $16,209.15. AYE: Barnhouse, Voss, Smith, Wilken, Bode NAY: None Motion carried 5-0. Owasso Public Golf Authority October 6, 1995 ITEM 5: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO A REQUEST THAT THE AUTHORITY DECLARE THE TEMPORARY CLUBHOUSE LOCATED AT THE BAILEY RANCH GOLF CLUB SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE OPGA AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO DISPOSE OF SUCH. Mr Lehr said that the OPGA authorized the lease purchase of a temporary golf clubhouse in the Spring of 1993. Payments were completed in July of 1995. With the construction of a new clubhouse scheduled to be completed by January of 1999, the old facility will be surplus to the needs of the OPGA. Staff recommended that the OPGA declare the temporary clubhouse and all of the chrome merchandise fixtures therein, as surplus to the needs of the OPGA, and authorize the sale or trade of such property. Mr Wilken moved, seconded by Ms Voss, to declare the temporary clubhouse at Bailey Ranch Golf Club, and all the chrome merchandise fixtures therein, surplus to the needs of the OPGA; and to authorize the negotiable sale or trade of such property. AYE: Wilken, Voss, Barnhouse, Smith, Bode NAY: None Motion carried 5-0. ITEM 6: REPORT FROM OPGA MANAGER No report. No report. ITEM 8: NEW BUSINESS None. ITEM 9: ADJOURNMENT Ms Barnhouse moved, seconded by Ms Voss, to adjourn.
