HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000.07.18_OPGA MinutesOWASSO PUBLIC GOLF AUTHORITY MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, July 18, 2000 The Owasso Public Golf Authority met in a regular session on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 in the Council Chambers at the Owasso Community Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2000. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER Chairman Williams called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE The flag salute was held during the City Council meeting preceding this meeting. ITEM 3: ROLL CALL PRESENT ABSENT H C "Will" Williams, Chair Mary Lou Barnhouse, Vice Chair Melinda Voss, Trustee Randy Brogdon, Trustee STAFF Larry Mitchell, City Manager Ronald D Cates, Authority Attorney Marcia Boutwell, Authority Secretary A quorum was declared present. ITEM 4: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO A REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA. A. Approval of the Minutes of July 3, 2000 Rescheduled Regular Meeting. B. Approval of Claims. The consent agenda included minutes of the July 3, 2000 rescheduled regular meeting, by reference made a part hereto. Item B on the consent agenda included the following claims: (1) Bailey Ranch Golf Club $23,999.45; (2) Payroll $24,974.21. Ms Voss moved, seconded by Mr Brogdon, to approve the consent agenda. AYE: Voss, Brogdon, Barnnhouse, Williams NAY: None Motion carried 4-0. Owasso Public Golf Authority July 18, 2000 ITEM 5: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO THE AWARD OF A BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO GREENS MOWERS. Mr Carlson presented the item. The greens mowers currently in use were purchased in the spring of 1993, prior to the opening of the golf course. The life expectancy for a greens mower is approximately 1500 hours. The greens mowers now in use have 2730 hours and 3019 hours respectively on them. Bid documents were prepared with two triplex greens mowers and two utility trucksters listed as a trade-in option. The documents were mailed to four vendors and bids were received from three. Luber Brothers Inc in Bethany, OK presented the apparent low bid, utilizing the trade-in option. In order for the equipment listed to be considered for trade-in, it must be declared surplus to the needs of the Authority. Mr Brogdon moved, seconded by Ms Barnhouse, to declare the four pieces of equipment listed as trade-in in the bid documents as surplus to the needs of the Authority, and to award the bid for two triplex greens mowers, with trade-in option of the surplus equipment included, to Luber Brothers Inc, Bethany, OK in the amount of $19,498. AYE: Brogdon, Barnhouse, Voss, Williams NAY: None Motion carried 4-0. No report. ITEM 7: REPORT FROM OPGA ATTORNEY. No report. ITEM 8: NEW BUSINESS. None. ITEM 9: ADJOURNMENT Ms Barnhouse moved, seconded by Ms Voss to adjourn.
