ITEM 5: CONSIDERATION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO OPGA
RESOLUTION 2001-01 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A TEMPORARY
RATE INCREASE IN GREEN FEES AND TOURNAMENT FEES FOR THE
BAILEY RANCH GOLF CLUB DURING THE U.S. OPEN TOURNAMENT DUNE
11-17, 2001.
Mr Carlson presented the item. He said that the U.S. Open will be held June 11-17, 2001 at
Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Because of the anticipated increase in play at Bailey
during this time, particularly from persons who reside outside the area, staff is requesting a
temporary increase in green fees and tournament fees during the tournament. Most of the area
courses are instituting a fee increase for that time, some to remain permanently in place and
others of a temporary nature. Owasso residents and Patron Card holders will not be affected by
the proposed rate increase. The proposed rate would be $35.00 for green fees and $75.00 for
tournament play, and it is anticipated that this temporary increase will bring in an addition
$9,000 - $12,000 in revenue. Ms Armstrong moved, seconded by Ms Voss, to approve OPGA
Resolution #2001-01, providing for a temporary increase in green fees at Bailey Ranch Golf
Club during the U.S. Open tournament June 11-17, 2001.
