SUBJECT: COUNCIL WORK SESSION
DATE: January 7, 1997
There are several issues that the staff would like to discuss with the Council in a "work session".
I would suggest Tuesday, January 14 at 6:30 p.m. as a good time for such a session. If you are
"OKAY" with that date and time, we are prepared to inform the other Councilors.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
1. REQUEST BY PLEASANT VIEW FOR CITY ACCEPTANCE OF OWNERSHIP OF
RECENTLY INSTALLED WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM. T'he staff will
explain the request and accompanying requirements.
2. PROPOSAL TO CONSTRUCT A RESTROOM AT THE SPORTS PARK. Mr Rooney
and Mr Warren are convinced that a restroom facility is a priority for the 1997-98 park
CIP. They will make a brief explanation of the proposal and seek your input.
3. INTERNET WEB-SITE FOR OWASSO. The staff will brief the Council on the status of
efforts to develop a Home Page for Owasso and outline the direction this project is taking.
The final product is going to be available within the next two weeks for demonstration.
The staff needs your input in order to finalize the proposal for presentation to the Council.
4. STREET REPAIR PROJECT AT NEW SIXTH GRADE CENTER. The staff would like
Council input regarding this project to repair damaged street surface in front of the new
school before the school constructs acceleration and deceleration lanes. Mr Can will brief
the Council and ask for advice.
5. ELECTRICAL UTILITY PERMIT ORDINANCE.
6. SCHOOL BOARD /CITY COUNCIL JOINT MEETING.
7. AMBULANCE ORDINANCE
