STAFF COMMENTS:
The acquisition of a "Tanker Truck" for the Owasso Fire Department was first listed in the
City's 1989 -90 Capital Improvements Plan The Project was initially rated by the CIP
Committee as an "essential" need and was placed in the "Five Year Project Schedule" for
completion in the 1993 -94 fiscal year. The CIP Committee again reviewed the project in it's
1990 -91 1991 -92 & 1992 -93 updates and kept the project on the funding list. In it's 1993 -94
report the CIP Committee recommended that the City Council fund the acquisition of the
Tanker Truck as one of four priority projects The Council adopted the report and funded the
purchase of the truck in July of 1993 Bid specifications were completed, bids taken, a contract
awarded to SEMO INC in the amount of $64,375 and the truck was delivered on November 24,
1993 Members of the Watchdog Committee may inspect and view the truck by calling Chief
Allen at 272 -5253 and establishing a time for that inspection.
