HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992.05.01_Sports Park DevelopmentU PROJECT COMPLETION REPORT PROJECT: SPORTS -PARK DEVELOPMENT - PHASE I DATE PROJECT WAS INITIATED: JUNE 28, 1991 DATE INITIALLY SCHEDULED FOR COMPLETION: APRIL 1, 1992 DATE ACTUALLY COMPLETED: MAY 1, 1992 DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT: ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT STAFF COMMENTS: ACTUAL PROJECT COST: $402,260 (INCLUDING: ROAD BASE, PARKING LOT BASE, 4 BASEBALL FIELDS, 3 SOCCER FIELDS, UTILITIES AND IRRIGATION) ANTICIPATED PROJECT COST: $386,143 PREVIOUS PROJECT COST (FOR LAND ACQUISITION): $293,782 NOTE: THE 1988 BOND ISSUE CONTEMPLATED SPENDING ONLY $120,000 FOR DEVELOPMENT OF FIELDS, HOWEVER, ADDITIONAL FUNDS WERE APPROPRIATED BY THE COUNCIL (AFTER REVIEW BY CIP COMMITTEE) BRINGING DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO $402,260. �� za= PROJECT COORDINATOR DATE TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL CITY OF OWASSO FROM: ROHIN MUNN PROJECT MANAG SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACCEPTANCE OF EIGHTH STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT DATE: JULY 14, 1992 BACKGROUND: Pursuant to direction given by the City Council on December 3, 1991, design work began on four Capital Improvement Drainage Projects. The first project, 8th Street Drainage Project, was designed, advertised through the bidding process and awarded on February 18, 1992 to J. D. Inc. for $107,167. Construction began March 9, 1992 and was completed on July 7, 1992. Mr. Ray, Mr. Compton, Mr. Griffin and I reviewed the completed project and required improvements in workmanship to two areas of concern. J. D. Inc. has now completed the required improvements. The specific figures for the 8th Street Drainage Project are as follows: Original Contract Amount $ 107,167.00 Actual Project Cost 99,606.50 Amount Paid to Contractor 89,645.85 Retainaze Due Contractor 9,960.65 Amount Remaining in Project Fund $ 7,560.50 RECOMZIENDATION: I recommend Council acceptance of the 8th Street Drainage Project and a release of retainage. NOTE: Upon acceptance the project will enter a one year Maintenance Bond period. W1 MEMORANDUM TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL CITY OF OWASSO FROM: ROHN MUNN, PROJECT MANAGER SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACCEPTANCE OF ELM STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT DATE: SEPTEMBER 28, 1992 BACKGROUND: Pursuant to direction given by the City Council on December 03, 1991, design work began on four Capital Improvement Drainage Projects. The third project, Elm Street Drainage Project, was designed, advertised through the bidding process and awarded on June 03, 1992, to Continental Concrete Company for $32,490.00. Construction began on August 10, 1992, and was completed on September 04, 1992. The staff has reviewed the completed project and find no additional improvement were required. The contractor (Continental Concrete Company) has completed this project 34 calendar days prior to contract completion date (October 08, 1992) and has requested full compensation. In reviewing the final pay request, everything is in order; therefore, I agree to releasing all funds that are due Continental Concrete Company for work related activity for the Elm Street Drainage Project. This project did not exceed the original amount of $32,490.00. RECOMNi I ENDATION: The staff recommends Council approval of final payment, release of retainage, and acceptance of the improvement project. Culvert Improvements Project Project No. 35.102 -88 Dear Mr. Yates: OWASSO, OKLAHOMA 7405 On February 19, 1 =91, the City Council approved the warrant list containing your final payment for the above referenced Q project. This `in al payment includes all retainage held to date. This means that the City of Owasso is ready to accept the 75th Street North Culvert Project and enter into the main- tenance agreement period. Therefore, this letter shall constitute the City of Owasso's acceptance of :ne above stated project and further agree in allowing the maintenance agreement to run from February 20, 1991 to February 20, 1992. The City of Owasso has developed a "PLAN OF REVIEW" for all projects that are completed and have reached the maintenance agreement period. The "PLAN OF REVIEW" for 76th Street North Culvert Improvements Project is as follows: For the maintenance period from February 20, 1991 to February 20, 1992: 5 -22 -91 Ive =_ting scheduled at jobsite for 10:00 a.m. B-21-91 - 11 -20 -91 1 -20 -92 Please check your calendar to see if you have any conflicts. If there is a cznflict with any of the above dates, please motif y me at least thirty days in advance. Each meeting is set up to review the status of problem areas encountered from,, the last meeting.
