HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996.03.12 OPGA MinutesOWASSO PUBLIC GOLF AUTHORITY MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, March 12, 1996, 5:30 p.m. Owasso City Hall Conference Room MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT STAFF PRESENT Glenna Anderson Ed Sokolosky Marcia Boutwell Brian Skelton Bob Oldefest Rodney Ray Tom Rikkola Sherry Bishop Also present: Jim Fitzsimmons, Don Armstrong, Warren Lehr, Tim Lampton. The Owasso Public Golf Authority met in a regular session on Tuesday, March 12, 1996 at 5:30 p.m. in the Owasso City Hall Conference Room per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 1996. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER. Chairperson Glenna Anderson called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m., and declared a quorum present. ITEM 2: REQUEST APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 13 1996 REGULAR MEETING AND FEBRUARY 26, 1996 SPECIAL MEETING Tom Rikkola moved, seconded by Brian Skelton, to approve the minutes as written. Motion carried 3 -0. ITEM 3: PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF FEBRUARY FINANCIAL REPORTS. Ms Bishop discussed briefly the financial reports. Mr Lehr and Mr Fitzsimmons discussed February rounds of play and income and presented statistics. ITEM 4: REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES RELATING TO RESTRUCTURING DEBT SERVICE. Mr Ray and Ms Bishop reported that they have received the first draft of the proposal to refinance the golf course debt, and that the next step would be a joint meeting with the Owasso Public Works Authority to discuss the procedure. The Chair of the Owasso Public Works Authority has called a special meeting of the two bodies to be held on Monday, March 25 at 6:00 p.m. ITEM 5: GENERAL DISCUSSION AND UPDATE ON GOLF COURSE MANAGE- MENT ISSUES. Mr Fitzsimmons and Mr Lehr discussed proposed rates and a special plan for Owasso residents. Mr Lehr said that arrangements are being made signage on Highway 169 and Highway 75 AlmO designating Bailey Golf Ranch. 94 14 i © Owasso Public Golf Authority Minutes of March 12, 1996 Page 2 ITEM 6: UNFINISHED BUSINESS There is still a problem with dirt left along the fence at the east side of the maintenance building by the developers of the housing area on the south side of 86th St N. Drainage continues to be a problem on the 15th fairway. ITEM 7: NEW BUSINESS None ITEM 8: ADJOURNMENT. Brian Skelton moved, seconded by Tom Rikkola, to adjourn. Motion carried 3 -0 and the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m. , Chairperson NOTE: Because of the resignation of all OPGA Trustees before another regular meeting could be held, these minutes are Marcia Boutwell, Authority Secretary unsigned.
