1. CALL TO ORDER
Tom Kimball called the meeting to order.
2. ROLL CALL

3. GENERAL DISCUSSION
Industrial Site
For an immediate commercial /industrial site it was
decided that the 25 -30 acres in Cherokee Industrial Park
would be best with a 6 month og al.
Set up 8 acres between Cedar and Birch as a lease option
with a 6 month oq al.
Pursue other property that might be used for a business
park. Locations mentioned are as follows:
96th Street North between the old and new Highway
169.
N. Mingo Road between 106th Street North and 116th
Street North east to the railroad tracks.
Would like to see a business park in town.
Continue to work with Don Smart with the Airport
Authority on their industrial sites.
Edo
Interchange
Pursue interchange at 76th Street North and Highway 75.
Staffing and Facilities
The suggestion was made to combine the offices of the
Owasso Economic Development Authority with the Community
Development Division of the City of Owasso at another
location other than City Hall or PSO.
Bob suggested hiring a "main street" director to develop
the Main Street retail business district and businesses
along both service roads and 86th Street North.
It was decided to let Bob develop a plan on staffing.

It should be a combined effort between both Owasso
p Economic Development Authority and the Chamber of
Commerce.
Goal is to have signs up by December 31, 1988.
Director's Report
It was suggested that Bob should send a letter to the
Owasso Reporter once a month to give an economic update.
Send a mailing to all businesses in Owasso 3 -4 times a
year.
Solid Waste
The Owasso Economic Development Authority supports the
efforts of the Northeast Oklahoma Solid Waste Authority
consisting of 11 members at this time.
Small Business
It was decided to hold small business workshops for the
business in Owasso and the surrounding communities.
Miscellaneous
It was decided to set up a meeting with the school
board, city council and the Owasso Economic Development
Authority with a speaker to be held semi - annually and
serve alcoholic beverage.
It was also decided to have Authority members to visit
local businesses with the executive director.
4. CONSIDERATION FOR APPROVAL OF ENDORSEMENT AND SUPPORT OF
THE LIBRARY BONDS
Frank Enzbrenner made the motion to approve the
endorsement and support of the library bonds and Alan
Anderson seconded the motion.
