Ms. Bishop presented the committee with updated reports on the budgeted items from the o issue and the bond payment schedule. The 76th Street project and the Residential Overl projects are the only ones not completed. Capital Improvement Projects under way are t Central Fire Station y the Sports Park. Nothing has been done on the City Hs Renovation project, <i project The acquisition of a tanker truck for the fire department was one of the projects in the Capital Improvements Plan. The purchase was funded in July of 1993. Bids were taken and a contract awarded to SEMO, INC in the amount of $64,375. Delivery was taken on the truck on November 24, 1993 and the project is now complete. Steve Holleman moved, seconded by Torn Kimball to approve the completion report. Motion carried 9 -0. The Committee discussed Progress Report No. 19 for the period ending December 31, '99 John Groth moved to approve Report No. 19 as f' S n was seconded by Vicki Tal and carried 9-0. Sales Tax Watchdog Committee January 10, 1994 Page 2 ITEM 7: General Discussion of Proiects & Progress Retort ITEM 8: Presentation of a Proposal for the Funding of Public Safety Needs for the City of Owasso City Manager Rodney Ray presented the proposed half penney sales tax to be dedicated to public safety needs. The City Council has called an election for March 1, 1994 for the passage or rejection of an ordinance providing for 1/2 cent sales tax. Those funds would be restricted to use by the police and fire departments. &WBoutwell, Secretax�
