HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995.01.09_Sales Tax Watchdog MinutesSales Tax Watchdog Coulmitt City of Owasso January 9, 1995 The Owasso Sales Tax Watchdog Committee met in regular session on Monday, January 9, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. in the Owasso Community Center per Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 1995. Chairperson Michael Philippi called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: James Darling, John Groth, Steve Holleman, John Leach, Harold Merrill, Michael Philippi, Richard Sullivan, Pat Woods MEMBERS ABSENT: Billie Fulbright, Glenna Gay Todd, Tom Kimball, Dan Siemens, Vicki Tapp, Bill Williams STAFF PRESENT: Rodney Ray, Marcia Boutwell, Sherry Bishop, Maria Alexander ITEM 3: REQUEST APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF OCTOBER 10 1994 REGULAR MEETING John Groth moved, seconded by Harold Merrill, to approve the minutes as written. Motion carried 8-0. Ms Bishop presented the committee with updated reports on the budgeted items from the bond issue and the bond payment schedule, as well as sales tax reports. She discussed these reports in detail for the benefit of the new members on the committee. ITEM 5: GENERAL DISCUSSION OF PROJECTS & PROGRESS REPORT Sales Tax Watchdog Committee January 9, 1995 Page 2 ITEM 6: CONSIDERATION ; APPROVAL OF QUARTERLY REPORT O. PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION The committee discussed the continued absenteeism of Bill Williams, Staff has sent two letters to Mr Williams asking him to convey his wishes about remaining on the committee. No response has been received, The Chair will get in touch with Mr Williams. Because of the number of new members on the committee, there was a feeling that an orientation of some kind should be held to give these persons background information on the bond issue and projects, The Chair called for a special meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13 (time and place to be announced) to provide an orientation for all members of the committee who wish to attend, but especially for the newer members, I� With no further business to come before the Committee, John Groth moved for adjournment.
