HomeMy WebLinkAbout009_Jack Friendly Liquor Store AnnexedORDINACE ANNEXING ADJACENT TERRITORY TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA AND INCREASING AND EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS TO INCLUDE THE ANNEXED TERRITORY AND DECLARING ALL EMERGENCY WHEREAS, a petition filed by more that three fourths of the legal voters and by the owners of more than three fourths in value of the property hereinafter described, requesting that said property to be annexed to the Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, whitch property is continuous and adjacent to thte Town of Owasso and not heretofore embraded within the city limits of said town, and, WHEREAS, notice of the presentation of such peittion has been given by said peittioners by publication at least once in each week for two successive weeks prior to this daye in the Collinsville news, publshed ast Collinsville, which is earest to the Town of Owasso, there being no newspaper publishe din Owasso, and, WHEREAS, the town Concil dedems it proper to annex said territory and to extend and increase th Town limits of the Town of Owasso, therefore, Be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, that the following described property is hereby annexed to and made a part of the Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, to-wit: All that part in the Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section Thirty-one (31), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa, County, Oklahoma, described as follows: Beginning at ta point one hundred fifty (150) West of the center line of main track of the atachison, topeka, and santafe railway company, parallel and adjacent to the South boundry of right of way of highway No 75. Thence Two-hundred (200) feet South, Thense two-hunder (200) feet East, Thence Two-hunder (200) feet North to the place of beginning. as Shown by the map thereof, attached hereto, and the city limits of the Town of Owasso are hereby extended and increaded to include said property within the Town limis of Owasso, the president of the Town Council is authroized and directed to file a copy of this ordinance in the office of the county Clerk of Tulsa Oklahoma WHEREAS, an immediate necessity exitsts for the preservation of the public pease, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist by reason whereof this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval adopted this 20th day of july, 1959 Wayne Beane President of Town Council State of Oklahoma County of Tulsa SS.
