AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, A
PORTION OF THE EAST ONE-HALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF SECTION THIRTY (30)
TOWNSHIP TWENTY-ONE(21) NORTH, RANGE FOURTEEN (14) EAST, IN THE COUNTY OF TULSA,
STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ALL BEING MORE PARTICULARLY THEREINAFTER DESCRIBED; DECLARING THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE JULY 15, 1963, PROVIDING THAT FROM AND AFTER
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE, ALL OF SAID REAQL ESTATE SHALL BE A PART OF THE
TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND ALL PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN AND ALL PERPERTY SITUATED
THEREON SHALL BE SUBJECTG TO THE JURSIDICTION, CONTROL AND ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL RESPECTS AND PARTICULARS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA;
WHERES, on the 3rd day of June, 1963, a petition was filed by one J. Ray Smith and the
Commercial Lummber Company, a corporation, as sole owners, petitiong and requesting that
the folling described real property, to-wit:
"Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot one (1) of Block Seven(7), of Smithview
Addition to the Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, according to tge recorded
plat thereof, thence North Eleven Hundred Eight feet (1108 ft.), thence East one
hundred Eighty-Fourt and 8/10 Feet (184.08 ft) to a point, thence Southeasterly one
hundred Forty-eight and 8/10 Feet (148.8 ft. ) along the highway right-of-way to a
point, thence south one thousand six feet (1006 ft.), thence west two hundres ninety-
two feet (292) to the point of beginning -- all in the East half (E 1/2)
of the Northewast Quarter (NE 1/4) of sectin thirty (30), Township Twenty-one (21)
North, Range Fourteen (14) East, in the County of Tulsa, State of Oklahoma",
be accepted, added and annexed to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and notive of presentation
of said petition having been duly and regulary given and published once in each week
for two successive weeks in the Collinsville News, a newspaper fully qualified under
the laws of the State o Oklahoma for such publications, and publised nearest to the Town of
Owasso, Oklahoma, and proof of pub lication having been dull filed all as required by law,
AND, WHEREAS said described propery is adjacent to the present boundary line of the
corporate limits of the said Town of Owasso, and it is to the mutual advantage, benefit
and welfare of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said J. Ray Smith and the said Commercial
Lumber Company, a corporation, that said petition be allowed and the request granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the request and peititonof J. Ray Smith and the Commercial Lumber
Company, a corporation, hereinabove reffered to be granted and allowed.
Section 2. That the following trach and parcel of land, to-wit:
"Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot one (1) of Block Seven(7), of Smithview
Addition to the Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, according to tge recorded
plat thereof, thence North Eleven Hundred Eight feet (1108 ft.), thence East one
hundred Eighty-Fourt and 8/10 Feet (184.08 ft) to a point, thence Southeasterly one

be and is hereby admitted, added to and annexed to, and taken into the corporate limits
of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma.
Section 3. From and after the effective date of this Ordinance, all o said real
estate described herein shall be a part of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma, and
all person residing therein and all property situated thereon shall be subject to the
jursidiction, control and ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, in all respects
and particulars.
Section 4. That an emergecy exists for the preservation of the public health, pease
and safetyk by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect from and after its passage
and approval,k as provided by law.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board

of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, to me known to be the identical person who
executed the above and forgoing instrument and acknowledged to me that he executed the
same as his free ad voluntary act and deed, as chairman of said Board of Trustees, and
as the free and voluntary act and deed off said Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso,
Oklahoma.
