HomeMy WebLinkAbout047_Reed Property AnnexedORDINANCE NUMBER 47 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF OWASS, OKLAHOMA, A PORTION OF SECTIONS TWENTY-NINE (29), THIRTY (30), THIRTY-ONE (31) AND THIRTY-TWO (32), ALL IN THOWNSHIP TWNETY-ONE (21) NORTH, RANGE FOURTEEN (14) EAST OF THE INDIAN BASE AND MERIDIAN, IN THE COUNTY OF TULSA, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ALL BRING MORE PARTICULARLY THEREINAFTER DESCRIBED; DECLARING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE MARCH 16, 1964; PROVIDING THAT FROM AND AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE, ALL OF SAID REAL ESTATE SHALL BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND ALL PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN AND ALL PROPERTY SITUATED THEREON SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION, CONTROL AND ORDINANCCES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL RESPECTS AND PARTICULARS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AN THE BOARD OF TRUSTESS OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA; WHEREAS, a petition has been filed and presented by one Guy D. Reed and Marguerite M. Reed, as sole owners, petitioning and requesting that the following described real property, to-wit: "The south Half of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of sectin twenty-nine (29), and the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of the southest quarter of section thirty (30), and the north half of the Northeast Quarter of the northeast quarter and the north eighty feet (80 ft) of the south half of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section thirty-one, and the northwest quarter of the northwest Quarter of the northwest quarter of section thirty-two, all in township twenty-one north, range fourteen east of the Indian Base and meridian, in the County of Tulsa, State of Oklahoma," be accepted, added and annexed to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and, notice of presentation of said petition having been duly and regularly given and published once in each week for two successive weeks in the Tulsa Daily News, a newspaper fully qualifed under the laws of the State of Oklahoma for such publications, and published nearest to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and proof of publication having been duly filed all as required by law, AND, WHEREAS, said described property is adjacent to the present boundary line of the corporate limits of the said town of Owasso, and it is to the mutual advantage, benefit and welfare of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said Guy D. Reed and Margarite M. Reed, sole owners, that said petition be allowed and the request granted, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the requst and petition of Guy D. Reed and Marguerite M. Reed, the petitioners have in above referred to be granted and allowed. Section 2. That the following tack and parcel of land, to-wit: be and is hereby submitted, added to and annexed to, and taken into the corporate limits of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma Section 3. From and after the affective date of this Ordinance, all of saidl real estate described herein shall be a part of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklaoma, and all persons residing therein and all property situated thereon shall be subject to the jurisdiction control and ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, im all respects and particulars Section 4. That an emergency exitsts for the preservatin of the public health, peace and safety, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect from and after its passage and approval, as provided by law. EMERGENC CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees this 16th day of March, 1964. PASSED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, this 16th day of March, 1964. APPROVED by the President of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, on this 16th day of March, 1964.
