HomeMy WebLinkAbout048_Masonic Lodge_C A Sheldon AnnexedORDINANCE NUMBER 48 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXIG TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, A PORTION OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTIO NINETEEN (19), TOWNSHIP TWENTY-ONE (21) NORTH, RANGE FOURTEEN (14 EAST OF THE IDNIAN BASE AD MERIDIAN; IN THE COUNTY OF TULSA, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ALL BEING MORE PARTICULARLY THEREINAFTER DESCRIBED; DECLARING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE MARCH 16, 1964; PROVIDING THAT FROM AND AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE, ALL OF SAID REAL PROPERTY SITUATED THEREON SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION, CONTROL AND ORDINANDES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL ASPECTS AND PARTICULARS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: WHEREAS, one Charles H. Meadows, Harold D. Hodson and Charles W. Cramer, as trustees, and acting for and on behalf of the Masonic Lodge Number 454 of Owasso, Oklahoma, and O. A. Sheldon and Margarite J. Sheldon, as individuals, constituting more that three-fourths of the legal votors and more that three-fourths, in value, of the following described real property, to-wit: The South One Hunder Thirty-two (132) feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarer of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, of Section Nineteen(19), all in Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, in the County of Tulsa, State of Oklahoma, have petitioned and requested that said described real estate be accepted, added and annexed to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and, notice of presentation of said petition having been duly and regularly given and published once in each week for two successive weeks in the Collinsville News, a newspaper fully qualified under the laws of the State of Oklahoma for such publications, and published nearest to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and proof of publication having been duly filed all as required by law. AND WHEREAS, said described property is adjacent to the present boundary line of the corporate limits of the said Town of Owasso, and it is to the mutual advantage, benefit and welfare of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said abovenamed petitioners that said petitions be allowed and the request granted, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the requst and peition of the abovenamed petitioners be granted and allowed. Section 2. That the following track and parcel of land, to-wit: be and is hereby admitted, added to and annexed to, and taken into the corporate limits of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma. Section 3. From and after the affective date of this ordinance, all of said real estate described herein shall be a part of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma, and all persons residing therein and all property situated thereon shall be subject to the jurisdiction, control and ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, im all respects and particulars. Section 4. That an emergency exists for the preservation of the publi health, peace, safety and welface, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect from and after its passage and approval, as provided by law. EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees this 16th day of March, 1964. PASSED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, this 16th day of March, 1964. Bryson, the Chairmen of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owassok Oklahoma, to me known to be the identical person who executed the above and foregoing instrument and acknowledged to me that he executed the same as his free and voluntary act and deed of said Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma. In Witness Whereof I have set my hand and affixed my notarial Seal the day and year last avobe mentioned. CERTIFICATE This is to certify that the above and forgoing instrument, in writting, is a true and correct copy of the ordnance passed by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, on the 16th day of March, 1964, being ordinance number 48.
