HomeMy WebLinkAbout060_Lula Mae Eastin Land AnnexedORDINANCE NUMBER 60 AN ORDINANCE ACCPETING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, A PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED AS THE WEST HALF (W1/2) OF THE EAST HALF (E1/2) OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW1/4) OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE1/4), OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE1/4), CONTAINING ONE AN ONE-FOURTH (1 1/4) ACRES LESS .15 FEET FOR RAOD, IN SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 21 NORHT, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE INDIAN BAS AND MERIDIAN, IN TULSA COUNTY, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ACCORDING TO THE UNITED STATE GOVERNMENT SURVEY THEREOF; DECLARING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE APRIL 5, 1965; PROVIDING THAT FROM AND AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE ALL OF SAID REAL ESTATE SHALL BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND ALL PERSON RESIDING THEREIN AND ALL PROPERTY SITUATED THEREON SHALL BE SUNJECT TO THE JURISDITION, CONTROL AND ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OFOWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN THE .....AND PARTICULRES; AND DECLARIN AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEE OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: THAT WHEREAS a petition has been filed by Mrs. Lula Mae Eastin, as sole owner, petitioning and requesting that the following described real estate, to-wit: "the West Half (W1/2) of the East Half (E1/2) of the East Half (E1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of the Southest Quarter (SE1/4), of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4)containing one and one-quarter (1 1/4) acres, less .15 Feet for road, in Section 30, Township 21 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, in Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, according to the United State Government survey thereof, be accepted, added and annexed to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and, notice of presentation of said petition having been duly and regulary given and published once in each week for two successive weeks in the Collinsville News, a Newspaper fully qualified under the laws of the State of Oklahoma such publication, and published nearest to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and proof of publication having been duly filed all as required by law. AND WHEREAS said described property is adjacent to the present boundary line of the corporate limits of the said Town of Owasso, and it is ot the mutual advantace, benefit and welfare of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said petitioner, lula Mae Eastin, the sole owner thereof, that said petition be allowed and request granted. AND WHEREAS, there appears to opposition of the granting of the request of said petition. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. that the request and petition of Mrs. Lula Mae Eastin be and the same is hereby granted and allowed. 2. That the following tract and parcel of land, to-wit: "the West Half (W1/2) of the East Half (E1/2) of the East Half (E1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of the Southest Quarter (SE1/4), of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4)containing one and one-quarter (1 1/4) acres, less .15 Feet for road, in Section 30, Township 21 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, in Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, according to the United State Government survey thereof, be accepted, added and annexed to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and notice of presentation having been lawfully given as provided by law, same is hereby admitted to and taken into the corporate limits of the Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma Section 3. that from and after the effective date of this ordinaince, all of said real estate described herein shall be part of the town of owasso, oklahoma, and all persons residing therein and all property situated thereon shall be subject to the jurisdiction, control and ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, in all respects and particulars. Section . That an emergency exitst for the preservation of the public health, peace, safety and welfare, by reson whereof this ordinance, numbered 60, shall take affect and after its passage and approval, as provided by law. EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees this 5th day of April, 1965. PASSED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, this 5th day of April 1965.
