AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX, AND ADD, TO THE TOWN OF OWASS, OKLAHOMA, A PORTION OF LAND LOCATED
IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE 1/4) OF THE NORHTEAST QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF SECTION THIRTY (30),
TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE INDIAN BASE AND MERIDIAN, (BEING MORE PATRICULARTY
DESCRIBED IN SAID ORDINAINCE) IN THE COUNTY OF TULSA, STATE OF OKLAHOMA; PROVIDING THAT FROM
AND AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDIANCE, ALL OF SAID REAL PROPERTY SHALL BE A PARTY OF
THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND ALL PERSONS RESIDING ORPRESENT THEREON AND ALL PROPERTY
SITUATED OR BEING THEREON SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION, CONTROL AND ORDINANCES OF
THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL RESPECTS AND PARTICULARS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
WHEREAS the following tract and parcel of land, described as follows, to-wit:
A portion of land beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot Two (2)
Block Two (2), Marywood Addition, Thence North a Distance of
573.78 Feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of Lot Six (6),
Block Six (6), Smithview Addition, thence East along the South
Boundry line of Block Six a distance of 380 feet, thence South a
distance of 573.78 feet, more or less, thence West a distance of
380 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, all in Section 30,
Township 21 North, Range 14 East, in Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma,
and otherwise described as the North, Range 14 East of the
Indian Base and Meridian, in Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma,
in adjacent ot and abutting on the present houndary line of the corporate lines of the
Town of Owasso,
AND, WHEREAS said real estate is owned by the Town of Owasso, and it is to the mutual
benefit and best welface of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the citizens of said town and
of the community that said property be annexed and become a part of The Town of Owasso,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the above described tract and parcel of land be admitted, added to and
annexed to, and taken into the corporate limits of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma.
Section 2. That form and after the effective date of this Ordinance, all of said real
property described herein shall be a part of The Town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma, and all
persons being therein and all property situated thereon shall be subject to the jurisdiction,
control and ordinances of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, in all respects and particulars.
Section 3. That an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace,
safety and welface and for the establishment of proper police protection, by reason whereof
this ordinance shall take affeft from and after its passage, and approval, following proper
notice and publication thereof as required by law, and immediately upon approval and order
of the Board of County commissioners of Tulsa County, state of Oklahoma, as provided by the
laws of the State of Oklahoma in such cases made and provided.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the BOard of Trustees
this 16th day of August, 1965.
