AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2, CHAPTER 4, TITLE 12 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES FOR THE
TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, 1957, RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES; PROVIDING FOR MAINTENANCE,
REPAIR, EXTENSION AND OPERATION, AND COSTS AND EXPENSES PERTAINING THERETO, THROUGH LEVY AND
CHARGE OR FEES; PROVIDING FOR FEES AND CHARGES TO BE MADE ON BUILDING UNITS RECEIVING SEWER
SERVICE THROUGH SINGLE SEWER LINE OR LATERNAL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA;
That Section Two (2), Chapter Four (4), Title Twelve (12) of the Revised Ordinances
for The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, 1957, relating to service charges, be amended as herein-
after ordained, and made to read as follows:
"Section 2 -- Rates of Charge. For the purpose of providing funds for the maintenance,
repair, extension and operation of the Sanitary Sewer System of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma,
and for other purposes pertaining thereto, there is hereby imposed and established the
following Sanitary Sewer service charges or fees:
Seventy-fire Cents (.75) per month to be charged against each residence, building,
structure, business or place receiving sewer service; Provided where two or more families,
units, apartments, business units, buildings, structures or location are furnished sewer
service through the same sewer connection or laternal, then a minimum of Seventy-five Cents
(.75) shall be charged for each such family use, unit, apartment, business unit, building,
structure or location in addition to the base charge provided herein, to be collected as
provided by the ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma."
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES that the rest and remainder of Title
Twelve (12) shall remain in full force and effect.
EMERGENCY: WHEREAS present conditions exist which constitute an immediate threat to the
safety, health and property of persons and the peace, safety, health and welfare of the
general public within The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, an emergency exitsts for the preservation
of public peace, health, safety and welfare, by reason whereof this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage as provided by law.
Emergency Clause voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of
Trustees this 21st day of February, 1966.
PASSED by the Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, this 21st day of
February, 1966.
