AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO AND GOVERNING TE CONSTRUCTION, ERECTION, ALTERING, REMODELING,
REBUILDING, MOVING ONTO, OFF OF OR UPON ANUY LOT OF TRACT OR LAND, ADDING TO
OR DEMOLISHING ANY BUILDING, STRUCTURE OF APPUTENANCES THERETO, AND REQUIRING
PAYMENT OF PERMIT FEES; ESTABLISHING SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES; REQUIRING PERMITS
TO INSTALL GASOLINE PUMPS AND/OR TANKS; PROVIDING METHOD OF ESTABLISHING VALUATIONS
UPON WHICH AMOUNT OF PERMIT FEES ARE DETERMINED; DECLARINF ALL OTHER ORDINANCES
OR PARTS THERE OF NOT IN CONDLICT WITH THIS OORDINANCE TO REMAIN UNCHANGED AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT OEDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1.
That Section Five (5) of Ordinance Number Fifty (50), passed June 15, 1964, be amended to provide and read as follows:
"Section 5-- PERMIT FEES__ GASOLINE PUMPS AND TANKS. Before any building permit shall issue the following fees
must be paid:
a.Schedule: Construction, Alterations, Moving, Rebuilding, Enlarging of buildings:
1. Where estimated total value amounts to One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), no permit fees shall be charged, except
an inspection fee of One Dollar ($1.00) shall be paid, in instances where inspection is required.
2. When estimated total value amounts to One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and does not exceed Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00), a feww of Two and 50/100 Dollars ($2.50) shall be charged, and paid.
3. Where estimated total value exceeds Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) and does not exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($100,000.00), a fee of Teo and 50/100 Dollars ($2.50), plus one-fourth (1/4) of One Per Cent (1%)
of the estimated total value in excess of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) shall be paid.
4. An additional fee of One-Eigth (1/8) of One Per Cent. (1%) shall be charged and added for each $1000.00 or fraction thereof
in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollar valuation.
b. Building Permit Fee Pertaining to Gasoline Pumps; Tanks; For
1. Installations of gasoline pump, a fee of Two and 50/100 Dollars ($2.50) shall be paid on each pump.
2. Installation of Tank, a fee of Two amd 50/100 Dollars ( $2.50) shall ne paid on each tank.
c. Demolition of Building or Structure: Where a building or structure is to be rased or demolished, a fee of Fifty Cents ($.50)
per foot in height of such building or stucture, measuring from the highest point to the ground level, or from teh highest point of said
strcuture or building to the lowest points of any basement level, where a building or structure includes a basement of cellar.
d. Payment of the fees provided by this ordinance shall be made to the Town Clerk of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, the payment
of which shall apply only to acquiring the permit required bu this ordinance and distinguished seperately and apart and not to
be included in or to include any other fee, charge or assessment required to be paid under any other ordinance of the Town of Owasso."
SECTION 2.
That Ordinance Number Fifty (50), passed June 15, 1964, be amended by adding thereto a section to be numbered " Section Five- A (5-A),
to provide and read as follows:
"Section 5-A -- ESTABLISHMENT OF VALUATIONS-- DEFINITION OF "VALUE", "VALUATION".
Before a building permit shall be granted, the Building Inspector, or such
inspector as designated in Section One (1) of Ordinance Number Fifty (50), shall
estimate the value of the proposed building or structure, and may be guided in making
such estimates by ordinary methods used and practices followed in making assessments
and estimates.
In the Event the valuation of work, construction, material and costs is under-
estimated by the applicat for a permit, such permit shall be dined.
The workds "Value" and "Valuation", as used in this ordinance, shall be given
and have the meaning of such value or valuation figured at a fiar markey value or
valuation existing at th time such applicatino for a permit is made.:
SECTION 3.
That all provisions of Ordinance Number Fifty (50) not in conflict with this Ordinance
shall remain unchanged and in full force and affect.
SECTION 4. EMERGENCT. That becuase of existing conditions constituting an immediate
threat to the safety of persons and property and to the public welface, and for the preservation
of public health, peace and safety and for the furtherance of the public health, peace,
safety and welface, an emergecny exists, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect
from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of
Trustees this 16th day of May, 1966.
