HomeMy WebLinkAbout083_Sewer District 4 CreatedORDINANCE NUMBER 83 AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SEWER DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS "SEWER DISTRICT NUMBER FOUR" IN THE TOWN OF OWASSO, STATE OF OKLAHOMA; DEFINING THE AREA THEREOF, AND DECLRING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: WHEREAS a petition has been signed and filed with the Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, by the owners of more than one-half in area of the are herein- after described to be drained or benefited by the construction of sewer mains or sub-mains, requesting the creation of a sewer district and the laying of such sewer mains and/or sub-mains therein, and WHEREAS it is to the numual benefit and welfare of The Town of Owasso, ans to the owners of the lots or land within the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, that a Sewer District be created and sewer mains and/or submains be constructed and installed therein, IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED YB THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. A sewer district, to be know as "Sewer District Number Four", is hereby created and established in the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and said sewer district shall be comprised of the following aarea, to-wit: Lots one (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (45), Five (5), Six (6) Seven (7) and Eight (8), in Block Seven (7) of the Original Townsite of The Town of Owasso, according to the recorded plat thereof. SECTION 2. The sewer district above defined may be enlarged or changed by ordinance at any time previous to the actual commencement of construction of laterals in said district. SECTION 3. Sewer lines and laterals shall be constructed and connected with the public sanitary sewer system of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma. SECTION 4. The President of the Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso is authorized, empowered and directed to make all necessary arrangements for the construction of such sanitary sewer mains, sub-mains and/or latterals to be constructed within said Sewer District Number Fourt. and the owners of more than one-half of the real property within said district having peitioned for the ocnstruction and establishement of said sewer district, contracts may be awarded by the Board of Trustees or materials purchased without advertising for bids thereon. SECTION 5. EMERGENCY. That an emergency exitst for the preservation of public health, peace and safety, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect from and after its passage and approval. PASSED, with the emergenct clause voted and ruled upon separately and approved this 7th day of November, 1966. REQUEST AND PETITION To the Board of Trustees Town of Owasso, Oklahoma The following property owners of Lots one (1) through eight (8), inclusive, Block seven (7), Original Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, hereby request and petition the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso to construct a sewage disposal line to serve all Lots in Block seven (7), Original Town of Owasso, Oklahoma. THREE IN THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, DEFINING THE AREA THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLHAOMA, as follows: Article I A sewer district, to be known as Sewer District No. Three, is hereby created and establishe din the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and said sewer district shall be comprised of the following area, to-wit: Lots five (5) and six (6), Block seven (7), Original Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, according to the recorded plat thereof. Artive IV Upon the passage of this ordinance, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees is authorized and directed to make the necessary arrangements for the construction of said laterals, the owners of all of the propery in said distric having petitioned the Board o Trustees for the construction of said sewer districts. Contracts may be awarded by the Board of Trustees without advertising for bids thereon. Article V It being necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall take effect immedately upon approval.
