HomeMy WebLinkAbout097_J D and J C Roberts Land AnnexedORDINANCE NO. 97 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE1/4) OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER (NEW1/4) OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER (NW1/4) OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE INDIAN BASE AND MERIDIAN, IN THE COUNTY OF TULSA, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ALL BEING MORE PARTICULARY THEREIN DESCRIBED; DECLARING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE SEPTEMBER 18, 1967, AND AFTER WHICH DATE ALL OF SAID REAL ESTATE SHALL BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND ALL PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN AND ALL PROPERTY THEREON SITUATED SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION, CONTROL AND ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL RESPECTS AND PARTICULARS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: WHEREAS a petition has been filed and presented by one Jimmy D. Roberts and J. C. Roberts, sole owners, being more than three-fourths of the legal voters and owners of more than three-fourths of the real porperty herein described, to-wit: "A part of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4)of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of Section 32 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point 325.2 feet East of the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4), thence South approximately 357 feet, thence East 200 feet, thence North approximately 357 feet, thence West 200 feet to the point of beginning, in the County of Tulsa, Oklahoma, petitioning that the sail real propert to be accepted, added and annexed to The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and, notice of presentation of said petition having been duly and regulary given and published once in each week for two successive weeks in The Collisville News, a newspaper fully qualified under the laws of the State of Oklahoma for such publications, and published nearest to The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and proof of publication has been filed, all as provided by law. AND, WHEREAS said described real estate is adjacent to the present boundary line of the corporate limits of the said Town of Owasso, and it is to the mutual advantage, benefit and welfare of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said Jimmy D. Roberts and J. C. Roberts. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA,: Section 1. That the request and petition of said jimmy D. Roberts and J. C. Roberts, the petitioners hereinabove referred to, be granted and allowed. Section 2. that the following tract and parcel of land, to-wit: "A part of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4)of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of Section 32 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point 325.2 feet East of the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4), thence South approximately 357 feet, thence East 200 feet, thence North approximately 357 feet, thence West 200 feet to the point of beginning, in the County of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Section 3. That this ordinance shall become affective on the 18th day of September, 1967, and from and after said effective date all of said real estate described herein shall be a part of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and all persons residing therein and all prperty siutated thereon shall be subject to the jurisdiction, control and ordinances of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, in all respects and particulars. Section 4. That conditions exist reuqiring establishment of adequate police and sanitation control, and that by reason thereof an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect from and after tis passate and approval, as provied by law. EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees present, consisting of more than three-fourths majority of said board members,this 18th day of September, 1967.
