AN ORDINANCE VACATING, DISCONTINUING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF NORTH INDIANA STREET,
NOW NORTH CARLSBAD STREET, IN THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, BETWEEN LOT NINE (9) IN BLOC
SEVEN (7) AND LOT FIFTEEN (15) IN BLOCK EIGHT (8) OF GREENLEE'S ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, ACCORDING TO THE RECORDED PLAT THEREOF, EXTENDING FROM THE NORTH LINE OF
WEST SECOND STREET, FORMERLY THOMAS AVENUE, IN A NORTHERLY DIRECTION, A DISTANCE OF ONE
HUNDRED FORTY (140) FEET, TO THE SOUTH LINE OF ALLEY, IF EXTENDED, ADJACENT TO THE REAR OF
SAID LOTS, AND MORE PARTICULARY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
WHEREAS a petition has been filed and presented to the Boarrd of Trustees, by the sole owners
of Lot Nine (9) in block seven (7) and lot fifteen (15) in block Eight (8) of greenlee's
Addition to The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, according to the recorded plat thereof, stating
that the street, as shown on said plat, between said lots is not necessary for public use,
and requesting and agreeing to the vacating, discontinuing and abandonment of the land so
designated and described in said plat as a street, and
WHEREAS the petitioner constitues all of the owners of the respective lots within said
Block Seven and Block Eight in said Greelee's Addition, and the said designated street has
not been open or used for stree, travel or roadway purposes as platted, and is not
necessary for public use. convenience or necessity,
IT IS THERFORE ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRTUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. That portion of North Indiana Street, now North Carlsbad Street, between
Lot nine (9) in Block Seven (7) and Lot Fifteen (15) in Block Eight (8) or Greenlee's Addition
to The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, as shown by the recorded plat thereof, extending from the
North line of West Second Street, formerly Thomas Avenue, in a Northerly direction, a distance
of One Hundred Forty Feet (140 ft.), more or less, to a line extended across said indiana
Street, now Carlsbad Street, along the South line of the alley at the rear of said lots, within
the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Southwest corner of Lot Nine (9) in Block Seven (7) of
said Greenlee's Addition to the Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma,
according to the recorded plat thereof, thence North along the West line of said
Lot Nine (9) in said Block Seven (7)of Greenlee's Addition to the Northwest corner
of said lot; thence West along the South line of alley, if extended, to the North-
east corner of Lot Fifteen (15) in Block Eight (8) of said Greenlee's Addition;
thence South along the East line of Lot Fifteen (15) in Block Eight (8) of the said
Greenlee's Addition to the Southeast corner of said Lot Fifteen (15) in said Block
Eight (8) of said Greenlee's Addition the point being at the North line of Thomas
Avenue, now West Second Stree, in said Town of Owasso; thence East along the North
line of said West Second, formerly Thomas Avenue, a distance of Sixty Feet
(60 ft.) to the Southwest corner of Lot Nine (9) in Block Seven (7) of said Greelee's
Addition, the point of beginning --all within the Town of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma
and according to the recorded plat thereof--,
is hereby vacated and abandoned by the said Town of Owasso forever as a public thoroughfare.
Section 2.That an emergency exists for the preservation of the public peace, health,
safety and welfare, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication.
PASSED, and the Emergency Clause voted and ruled upon separately and approved this 20th day
of May, 1968.

TO: THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE TOWN OF OWASSO:
The undersigned respectfully petitions the Board of Trustees
of the Town of Owasso, to vacate taht portion of north Carlsbad
Street, formerly North Indiana Stree, extending from the north line
of West second stree, Formerly Thomas Avenue in a northerly direction
a distance of 140' being between Lot 9, Block 7, and Lot 15
Block 8, in Greenlee's Addition to the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, for
the reason that same is no loonger necessary for public use and that
petitioner is the sole owner of all adjacent property that would be
affected.
