AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING INTO AND ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, A PARCEL
OF LAND DESCRIBED AS A PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE1/4) OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE1/4) OF
SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE INDIAN BASE AND MERIDIAN, IN TULSA COUNTY,
OKLHAOMA, ACCORDING TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT SURVEY THEREOF, AL LBEING MORE PARTICULARY
DESCRIBED THEREIN; DECLARING THE AFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE JUNE 17, 1968, AFTER
WHICH DATE ALL OF SAID REAL ESTATE SHALL BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND ALL
PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN AND ALL PROPERTY THEREON SITUATED SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION,
CONTROL AND ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL RESPECTS AND PARTICULARS, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
THAT WHEREAS a petition has been filed and presented by W. M. Hawk and Laura Hawk, his wife,
and Hawk Interprises, Incorporated, a corporation, by and through Sam S. Hawk, as President,
joined and attested by its Secretary, Jane Herriman, and the Owasso Lumber Company, a corporation,
by and through J. R. Smith, as President, joined and attested by its secretary, vernon
W. Lewis, as the sole and only owners, petitioning and requesting that the following described
real property, to-wit:
The Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section
Thirty (30), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East
of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa county, Oklahoma, according to
the Government Survey thereof, less the South 210 feet and the North
25 feet of the West 503 feet of the East 680 feet thereof, and less
U. S. Highway No. 75, said highway being all that part of said Northeast
Quarter (NE1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) lying East of a line beginning
at a point 25 feet South and 177 feet West of the Northeast corner thereof,
Thence S o 159" W along the West line of said Highway Right-of-way a
distance of 710.70 feet; thence s 11 16;01" E a distance of 255 feet; thence
s 001'59" W along said Highway right-of-way a distance of 125.12 feet to
a point 210 feet North and 132.04 feet West of the Southeast corner of said
Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of said Section 30,
Township 21 North, Range 14 East,
be accepted, added and annexed to The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma; and, notice of presentation
of said petition having been duly and regularly given and published once in each week for two
successive weeks in the Tulsa Daily Legal News, a newspaper fully qualified under the laws of
the State of Oklahoma for such publication, published nearest to The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma,
and proof of publication having been duly filed all as required by law,
AND, WHEREAS said described property is adjacent to the present boundary line of the corporate
limits of the said Town of Owasso, and it is the mutual advantage, benefit and welfare
the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said W. M. Hawk, Laura Hawk, Hawk Interprises, Incorporated
and Owasso Lumber Company, a corporation, the sole and only owners thereof, that said
petition be allowed and the request granted,
AND, WHEREAS there appears no opposition to the granting of the request of said petition,
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.That the request and petition of W. M. hawk, Laura Hawk, Hawk Interprises Incorporated,
a corporation, and Owasso Lumber Company, a corporation, herein referred to, be and
the same is granted and allowed.
Section 2. That the following tract and parcel of land, to-wit:
The Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section
Thirty (30), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East
of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa county, Oklahoma, according to
the Government Survey thereof, less the South 210 feet and the North
25 feet of the West 503 feet of the East 680 feet thereof, and less

be and the same is hereby admitted, added to and annexed to, and taken into the corporate limits
of The town of Owasso, State of Oklahoma.
Section 3. that this Ordinance shall become affective on the 17th day of June, 1968, and from
and after said affective date all of said real estate described herein shall be a part of The
Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and all persons residing therein and all property situated thereon
shall be subject to the jurisdiction, control and ordinances of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma,
in all respects and particulars.
Section 4. That conditions exist requiring establishment of adequate police and sanitation
control, and that by reason thereon an emergency exists for the preservation of the public
health, peace, safety and welfare, by reason whereof this Ordinance shall take affect immediately
from and after its passage and approval, as provided by law.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees
this 17th day of June, 1968.
PASSED by the Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, on
this 17th day of June, 1968.
