AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THE EAST HALF (E1/2)
OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE1/4) OF SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST, AND THAT PART OF
LOTS 2, 3 AND 4 OF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, LYING WEST OF THE A.T. & S.F.
RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY, AND ALL THAT PART OF THE EAST HALF (E1/2) OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW1/4)
OF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, LYING, BEING AND SITUATED SOUTH AND WEST OF THE
A.T. & S.F. RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY--ALL BEING IN THE COUNTY OF TULSA, STATE OF OKLAHOMA; DECLAR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ANNEXATION TO BE NOVEMBER 4, 1968, AFTER WHICH DATE ALL OF SUCH REAL
ESTATE SHALL BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, AND ALL PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN ADN ALL PROPERTY
THEREON SITUATED SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION, CONTROL AND ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN ALL RESPECTS AND PARTICULARS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEE OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
WHEREAS a petition has been filed and presented by one Larkin Bailey and Elsie s. Bailey, sole
owners, being more than three-fourths of the legal voters and owners of more than three-fourths
in value of the real proerty herein described, to-wit:
The East Half (E1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section Twenty-five (25), Town-
ship Twenty-one (21) North, Range Thirteen (13) East, in tulsa county, Oklahoma, and
That part of Lots Two (2), three (3) and Four (4) of Section Thirty (30), Township
Twenty-one (21) North, range Fourteen (14) East, lying West of the Atchison-Topeka and
Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way, and all that part of the East Half (E1/2) of the South-
west Quarter (SW1/4) of Section Thirty (30), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Four-
teen (14) East, lying, being and situated South and West of the said Atchison-Topeka-
and Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way--all being within the County of Tulsa, State of
Oklahoma, and as outlined and described by a plan, drawing or draft thereof, hereto
attached and made a part of this ordinance,
Petitioning that the said real property be accepted, added and annexed to The Town of Owasso,
Oklahoma; and, notice of presentation of said petition having been duly and regulary given and
published once in each week for two successive weeks in the Owasso Reporter, a newspaper fully
qualified under the laws of the State of Oklahoma for such publications, and published within
The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and proof of publication has been filed, all as provided by law.
AND, WHEREAS said described real estate is adjacent to the present boundary line of the corporate
limits of the said Town of Owasso, and it is to the mutual advantage, benefit and welfare of The
town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the said Larkin Bailey and Elsie s. Bailey, that same be granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
Section 1. That the request and petition of said Larkin Bailey and elsie s. Bailey, the
petitioners hereinabove referred to, be granted and allowed.
Section 2. That the following tracts and parcels of land, to-wit:
The East Half (E1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section Twenty-five (25), Town-
ship Twenty-one (21) North, Range Thirteen (13) East, in tulsa county, Oklahoma, and
That part of Lots Two (2), three (3) and Four (4) of Section Thirty (30), Township
Twenty-one (21) North, range Fourteen (14) East, lying West of the Atchison-Topeka and
Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way, and all that part of the East Half (E1/2) of the South-
west Quarter (SW1/4) of Section Thirty (30), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Four-
teen (14) East, lying, being and situated South and West of the said Atchison-Topeka-
and Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way--all being within the County of Tulsa, State of
Oklahoma, and as outlined and described by a plan, drawing or draft thereof, hereto
attached and made a part of this ordinance,
be and the same is hereby admitted, added to and annexed to and taken into the corporate limits
of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma,
Section 3. That this ordinance shall become effective on the 4th day of November, 1968, and
from and after said effective date all of said real estate described herein shall be a part of
The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and all persons residing therein and all property situated thereon
shall be subject to the jurisdiction, control and ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, in
all respects and particulars.
Section 4. That conditions exist requiring establishment of adaquate police and sanitation
control, and that by reason thereof an emergency exitsts for the preservation of public health,
peace and safety, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take affect from and after its passage
and approval, as provided by law.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE VOTED UPON SEPARATELY and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees,
all being present, this 4th day of November, 1968.
